Let's play "What Version of OPI- My Private Jet Is This?!?" + Some Blog Updates

Hi everyone! You might have noticed a few changes around here lately. I've been messing with the template of my blog trying to find something I like...not sure how I feel about this one I have currently but I like it for now. I added a few pages...About Me, Contact Me, Disclosure & My Collection. You can find those towards the top of the page. Just wanted to let you know that the "My Collection" page is about 99% up to date with what I have at this very moment and it will be updated as I buy or swap for different polishes. If you want to see anything swatched from that list please email me and I'll be more than happy to work on that for you :) You can email me on the contact page, also please let me know if that contact form isn't working...I just added it so hopefully it does work. I am majorly stupid at anything HTML so I really wouldn't be shocked if it did not work lol

Now onto my game. I've heard there are a few variations of  OPI- My Private Jet floating around. I saw a blog about it a few weeks ago and dug out my bottle to swatch and see which version I have. It looks like I have gotten sort of a grayish brown silver non-holo glitter version. I've seen pictures of the ones with holo glitter and am somewhat sad that I don't have that version...click here to see what I am talking about, that version is SO much better! I will now be searching for the holo version whenever I go polish shopping.

I have on 2 coats of OPI- My Private Jet and 1 coat of Seche Vite. Picture was taken in indirect sunlight

  1. I love your title :)
I've got 2 versions of this- the one with a teal shimmer/flash and the original, chorcoral holo version and I love, love the original one :D

hope you'll find the holo version :)

  2. I'm not sure what version I have, I mean I KNOW it's NOT the holo version, but I do have a rainbow-ish glittery MPJ that has no holo appearance and was bought at some nail place that had been sitting there for a while.

  3. I don't think I've seen a swatch of the teal shimmer/flash. That sounds pretty!

  4. I have the same old boring version as you. I like my MPJ, but I LOVE the holo one--hope I find it someday!

  5. Ooh! I've wanted to see what the newer version of my private jet looked like. I'm still on the fence on whether I need it or not!

On another note, I just read your stash list! =) I'd love to see Lippman's Happy Birthday sometime in the future--- although, what exactly makes Lippmans special so that they're twice as much as OPIs? Formula? Glitter? Consistency?

  6. I'll work on that tonight Dovey! Not really sure why the price point is so high for Lippmann, my guess is a combo of the formula (like RBL, it's pretty awesome for application and pigmentation) and her name being attached to it.

  8. I guess I have a new version of MPJ - mine is a dark charcoal with whitish glitter. It's not nearly as funky as the holo version or the version with multi-coloured sparkles, but I still like it. It reminds me of the d/c Baby It's Coal Outside, from OPI's holiday collection a few years back.
