4th Of July Water Marble!

It's almost that time for those of us in the states...the 4th of July. This holiday is not my personal favorite, love fireworks like the ones at Disneyland but hate that the ones people can buy and set off themselves. I am looking forward to eating mass amounts of BBQ food and having a nice 3 day weekend! Even though I don't particularly love this holiday I decided to do something fun and festive on my nails anyway!

I started with a base of OPI- Malaysian Mist then water marbled (woohoo)!! For the water marble I used American Apparel- Cotton, OPI- I'm Not Really A Waitress and OPI- Russian Navy. Topped with a coat of Seche Vite. I like my index finger the best!

Hope everyone in the states has a safe 4th...as someone at work said yesterday "Don't get shot!" lol!

  1. oooh love it ! Just had my first attempt at marbling today, it's going to be a while before my nails look like yours ! Colour choice is fab, I love the index finger too x

  2. LOVE it!!! It looks great! Happy 4th!

  3. This looks AWESOME!! I am always amazed at water marble manis as I'm not brave enough to do them myself. Great mani!

  4. i did a fourth of july water marble too!

  5. I've just tried water marble for first time about an hour ago.I failed miserably how do you get the polish to go in big rings mine either sunk to the bottom or just went into a tiny spot on top of water.
Any advice please I really love this look and would love to do it properly.

I wish I had good advice to offer you, 99% of the time I fail at water marbling lol! my best advice is to watch videos on youtube and see if those ladies are doing it differently than you are! Might be the way they are dropping the polish or the type of polish they are using
