Duri- Mystic Elements

Hey guys, happy Friday! I have the day off from work so I've done nothing! Slept in sort of, then my plans fell through so now I'm going to do stuff I've been putting off. Going to a Christmas celebration thing tonight at my Aunt's house, usually I am excited for that but this year I am just not feeling Christmas-y...ya know what I mean? I'd much rather lay in my bed watching bad tv...I think I just don't feel like celebrating this year. It's hard with my Grandpa not being here anymore. I was finishing up shopping the other day at Target and was trying to buy cards for people and had to leave after tearing up at the Grandma and Grandpa cards...I swear I'm not that much of a sappy person usually I'm not sure what the heck is wrong with me lately.

Anyway...Duri- Mystic Elements. I thought this would be a little more festive than it turned out to be...it's more blackened than I expected. Mystic Elements is a blackened red kind of almost fuschia glittery polish. Even though it's not what I expected I really really like it! I guess I'll just be vampy on the nails for the holidays this year...kind goes with my overall mood, ya know black cloud bah humbug. haha. The formula was great, I could have gone with one coat and it would have been lighter but it was a little patchy in a couple of spots.

So, hope you have a good Christmas tomorrow (if that is what you celebrate) :)

  2. That looks similar to Deborah Lippmann 'Bad Romance. That's super-pretty...

I hope you feel better. There is always something to celebrate, even if it's the memory of a life well-lived. I'm sure that whatever you and your family do this holiday, your grandfather will be with you. Merry Christmas.

  3. Mmmmm, I think it looks more like Razzle Dazzle. Or maybe a more magenta-hued Tease-y Does It.

Even when you're burdened with feelings of loss, being in the presence of your family is some of the best medicine. They've known the hurt you feel as well, and the greatest comfort, in my opinion, always comes from people that understand why you feel the way you do. Celebrate cherished memories and make new ones for the future this season. :)

    Merry Christmas!

  4. I've experienced loss also so I know how you feel. The best thing is to be around your family. You can talk about your Grandfather and enjoy the memories of him. Have a Merry Christmas.
