Finger Paints Palette of Petals Spring 2011 Swatches & Review!

Good Morning! Did anyone watch the Bachelor last night? I don't think I know anyone IRL that watches this show so I'm just going to rant to you guys. I reallllly don't understand why Brad keeps crazy Michelle around. wtf is wrong with that girl, she is nuts! If that lunatic ends up with him I think I might never watch the show again lol

Now that I got that out, onto polish! Finger Paints is putting out a gorgeous Spring 2011 collection called Palette of Petals.  I love this collection so much, it's not like any of the others we've seen for Spring! Bonus, each bottle comes with a super cute ring, I have a picture of it waaaay down there at the end of this post. This collection will be available in March in store and online at Sally Beauty Supply, they retail for $4.99 each.

First up is Dahlia My Number, I was extremely excited about this when the PR images were released for this collection. I kind of have a thing for orange with gold shimmer. I immediately thought of Zoya Gwin or Zoya Sienna...hoping maybe this would be dupey for 1 of them. Which, btw it's not...not even close, very different shades of orange. I was going to swatch them but they were so different in the bottles that I decided not to. The formula on Dahlia My Number was a bit thin, I needed 3 coats for full opacity. I thought this would be a little more orange, it seems to almost pull coral-y orange on me. I still really like it. If there is a dupe to this I don't own it!

Shade

Chrysanthe-mum's The Word is a bright lime green! I love this polish so much, on it's own it fab but I like it even better as a base color for putting a crack polish over! The formula was great, I used 2 coats for full opacity.

Sun

Shade

Did You Ast-her Out? is a jelly creme bright pink. I love this color, I'm not a huge pink fangirl but this one is just wow! It's so flattering on my skintone. I think I will be wearing this one a lot! The formula was great, another 2 coater!

Sun

Shade

Aren't You Glad-iolous? is a creamy lavender. Not really much to say about this, I really like the color! The formula was great, I only used 1 coat in the pictures below, but not I kind of wish I had used 2 lol

Shade

Heavenly Hydrangeas is a rosy purple shade. I don't think I have anything dupey to this in my stash but I need to go through and look. I like this a lot more than I thought I would, in the bottle it didn't wow me but I love it on! The formula was great on this one also, 2 coats for full opacity!

Last up is Carnation Creation a bright teal blue polish. I heard this one stained so I doubled up on the base coat and still had some issues.Great color, but I just wish it didn't stain like that! The formula was again, great...another 2 coater!

And, here is the cute ring that comes on the bottles. It's so cute, I love it!

  6. Ahhh, of course the one that stains would catch my fancy the most. I'm already battling Smurf fingers as it is!

Did You Ast-Her Out? looks smoking on you, by the way. I usually dislike pinks but I'm tempted by this one now!
