I picked this up the other day when I went to a Planet Beauty store, it's called OPI Rocks LA. I'd never seen or heard of this so I *had* to have it. The color isn't groundbreaking or anything...a suuuuper dark purple. I loved the formula on this but I just wish it hadn't been so dark. It was a bit more purple in real life but still looked black most of the time.
I used 2 coats of OPI- OPI Rocks LA for the pictures below.

ReplyDeleteAre those things a nightmare to clean up? I've been staying away from purples for fear of staining and the hassle!
ReplyDeletelove dark nail polishes!
ReplyDeletenever heared of this one... great color :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw these at Planet Beauty a couple weeks ago too, but passed because it was so dark.
ReplyDeleteIt look blueish brown to me (weird I know). I would have bought it for the name only (you know, me and L.A....).
ReplyDeleteVisibly, it was a promo item for a music event in Hollywood last June. Nice catch!
Love this deep purple. Add me to the list of people who haven't heard of this. Hope you feel better. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI love this color, but I agree...I always wish colors like these we a touch more purple and a little bit lighter...just a smidge though, so that they still looked vampy!
ReplyDeleteLol, I wonder if the LA stands for Los Angeles or Louisiana? The vampy purple makes me think of mausoleums and foggy French Quarter nights... Love It!
ReplyDeletenever saw this one before, I'm loving the color tho
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this either! Just googled it and it's selling for $40 on Ebay with this description: "THIS POLISH WAS DISTRIBUTED AT THE ROCK/STYLE MUSIC FASHION EVENT HELD BY L A TIMES AT DRAI'S OF HOLLYWOOD THIS PAST JUNE 2010. CAN NOT BE FOUND IN STORES!" Muy Interesante, indeed, and a nice color to boot. :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard this color is a dupe for another OPI: Siberian Nights. It looks pretty much the same from what I can see in your pictures. I am actually wearing Siberian Nights and I don't see any difference.
ReplyDeleteThanks for swatching it!
