ABOUT THE MOVIE

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penelope Cruz), he’s not sure if it’s love—or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the “Queen Anne’s Revenge,” the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Berges-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.

The screenplay for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” was written by Ted Elliott & Terry Rossio, suggested by the novel by Tim Powers.  The film opens in theaters on May 20, 2011, in Disney Digital 3D™.

Here are some bottle pictures of the colors for you, I have to say I think the color choices for a Pirate themed collection are a bit odd...I still love them. And the names are to die for!

  1. I love the names, that I can't deny... But for me it was a huge no-no to see PotC is all about pastels. I wasn't happy about it. There are only two colors I want from this collection, "Stranger Tides" and "Skull & Glossbones". Others... Not for me. :/

  9. I just can't wait for this, I don't even care that the colours aren't suitable for the theme, they are just so beautiful. And a silver shatter? whoop!!

  10. I agree with many other. When I think Pirates of the Caribbean I think a whole bunch of different colors. More grimy dirty colors and some other very bright ones. I really do like the colors, but they don't fit the theme.

  11. I'm so excited for this, even though I wear a lot of glitter, I actually like the pastel colours & I've seen a promo of silver shatter over them & they look GORGEOUS

  13. Seriously loving some of these colors, others... not so much. I feel like a pirates collection should have had more browns, golds, and like Steffie said more grimy dirty colors, ones with some edge! And it maybe would have been fun to include a gorgeous flakie blue-gray or something for the ocean. but maybe i think too literally haha.

anyway, thank you for posting! i can't wait to get my hands on silver shatter, skull & glossbones, and steady as she rose. gorgeous!

  17. I love the theme! I'm such a sucker for "my" themes in the nail polish collections. I love PotC, I'm getting the violet one just because it has Sparrow in it, man! But I do think a few sparkles wouldn't be bad for such a theme. And I resent that they didn't make one name "Why is the rum gone?". ;)

  18. These are pretty .. but, I'm OVER the shatter look. :(

  19. I'm a huge fan of PoTC and this collection was seriously underwhelming for me. Pirates and Pastels just dont go. I was hoping for some awesome deep, dark colors, maybe even some gold flecks, but definitely not pastels. I do like Skull and Glossbones though, I'll give them that. The silver shatter is also really cool, but I think gold would have fit the theme better. :/
