Sephora by OPI Mash Up vs. Wet & Wild Grays Anatomy

Good morning!  I had such a good night last night! I went to a beauty supply that I've been to a bunch of times to see if they had anything new. Well, I didn't find much in the way of new but I did find a ton of OLD stuff! It was awesome! I found half the OMG collection from China Glaze. I think I might have actually let out a little scream in the store when I cam across it hiding behind a bunch of stuff. I roamed the store a little more then found a shelf hiding behind some boxes, on the shelf was a few old China Glaze mood polishes and a bunch of other old China Glaze polishes called Classic Chrome. This place actually had some of the pretty mood polishes from China Glaze, yay! It was awesome, usually when I go to places like this one I find nothing good so it was a nice surprise! The only new thing I picked up is the Serena Williams OPI set, I gave up holding my breath for Ulta to ever get it lol!

Today's post is a comparison between Wet & Wild's Grays Anatomy and Sephora by OPI Mash Up. When I posted Mash Up Vedra commented that Mash Up might compare more to Grays Anatomy than Not Like The Movies from the Katy Perry Collection. Once getting these on I think they are similar but definitely not dupes, which is unfortunate since the Wet & Wild polish is like $7 cheaper. Mash up is a lot more opaque, plus the base colors are different and the duochrome is a bit different.  I feel like I need to say this, the formula on the Wet & Wild polish SUCKED, sorry W&W, usually I love their polish but even after 3 coats it looked like hell. I mean....look at the sun picture (the 1st one) what is up with the coverage on the tip of my index finger it's like the polish disappeared or something! ew, luckily that seemed to only be visible like that in the sunlight. Out of this pair I prefer Mash up, I like the base color and formula more than Grays Anatomy!

I used 3 coats of Mash Up and 3 coats of Grays Anatomy for the pictures below.

  3. I like the WnW better color-wise, but I agree on the formula. It sucks butt so bad.

    Thanks for the comparison!

  5. I haaaate the new Wet n Wild formula! The polishes all look like they're going to be great colors, but then they're watery and sheer. :/ Also, the "new and improved" brush makes me want to scratch my eyes out.

  7. I had the same issue with the WnW. Though I loved the brush. The formula absolutely sucked & I had high hopes for it.

  8. I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues with the crappy formula. I hope the rest I bought from their new collection isn't the same!

  11. Thank you for comparing them! :) Interesting that all 3 are slightly different, no case of 100 identical dupes like with Charla/CMIYN/Choose Me etc!
