Zoya Spring 2011 "Intimate" Collection Swatches

Happy February!! I can't believe it's already February, I think time goes faster every year!

Today's post is one that you've probably seen about a bazillion times already but hey, it's pretty so maybe you won't mind seeing it again. The Zoya Intimate collection for Spring 2011 did not excite me at all from the first color blobs, or even the swatches to be honest but once I saw it in person it is just awesome and I love it! It's got a nice mix of shimmery and creamy colors.

First up is Dannii, a purple shimmer. This color is just wow, awesome! One of the girls at work already snatched up my bottle to get her nails done haha! The formula and application were just great, as is per usual with Zoya. I have to laugh at the spelling of Dannii though, I know a lot of Dani's and Danielle's and I don't think I've ever seen any of them spell their names like this! I used 2 coats of Dannii for the pictures below.

Next up is Gemma, easily my favorite of the collection. Gemma is a soft  kind of olive green color with a gorgeous blue/purple shimmer, which you can see if you click on my second picture below. The Formula again was great! I think this polish is definitely unique in my collection, go Zoya! I used 2 coats of Gemma for the pictures below.

Dove is a light gray creme polish, I love a polish like this and I have a lot of them. The formula was great, again! I used 2 coats of Dove for the pictures below.

Jules is a tan gold shimmer, for some reason my skin tone was pulling all the gold from this....which unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of. I don't love this color on me :( I tried hard to love it, I wore it twice trying to convince myself of how awesome is it. I love it in the bottle though! The formula was great again, only needed 2 coats for full opacity.

Marley is a soft lilac with a pearly shimmer running throughout it. I loooove it! I think the shimmer here really makes it something special, I have a lot of lilac's like this but nothing with this kind of shimmer! For being such a light color the formula was fantastic! I used 2 coats of Marley for the pictures below.

Last up is Caitlin which is a purple/blue toned gray. I think even if I owned 50 bottles of colors like this I would not get tired of them. They are so flattering on my skin tone, I could wear them forever...if I had that kind of patience lol. Formula again, great! I used 2 coats of Caitlin for the pictures below.

Overall, great collection. One of the most consistent formula wise that I've used in a while...but I think that's to be expected with Zoya! Zoya can be purchase on Zoya.com for $7.00 per bottle. I'm not sure if this collection will be available at Ulta or not.

  1. Those are great!! I'm lemming about half of those, but they'll have to wait for a bit before they join my collection.

  12. Dannii must be named after Dannii Minogue, Kylie's younger sister. I am really loving Gemma, Marley and Caitlin (I love those dusty periwinkles), but I will pass on Caitlin because I have CHI In Between the Sheets and it looked like a dupe when I compared it to the spoon.

ohhh that would make sense with the name, I actually didn't know who Dannii Minogue was, I had to google her lol.

Good to know about that Caitlin dupe, I don't own that Chi polish but thanks for letting me know, now I won't buy it in the future!
