Color Club Wicked Sweet Collection Swatches

Good Morning guys!  Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was boring...I guess that's good? haha

Today I have for you guys swatches of the first of 2 summer collections Color Club has put for this year. This one is called Wicked Sweet. All of the polishes in this collection are scented, and there are a couple interesting combos, color wise. I have heard that this set is already popping up at Ross and is also available on some etailers like Transdesign.com and VictoriasNailSupply.com (my 2 favorites!)

First up Is Get Your Lem-On. This one was pretty sheer, but the color is fab. I don't have anything dupey in my stash. It's a bright highlighter yellow with a green shimmer. On it's own I needed 4 coats for okay opacity, I could have used another but I'm not down with doing 5 coats of polish lol. I also have it layered over white on my ring finger in the pictures below. Over white I only needed 2 coats, awesome! The only downside to layering it over the white is that it seemed to kill that awesome shimmer, you could still see it but it wasn't very noticeable :( Get Your Lem-On smells like....you guessed it, Lemon Candy.

The Lime Starts Here is a bright neon green, I do like this color but it's nothing new we haven't seen before.  The formula was just okay, for a neon it did well, no dragging bald spots. I used 3 coats on it's own and 2 coats over white (on my ring finger) for full opacity. This one smelled like fruity candy, not overly lime like I thought it would.

 I Always Get My Man-Darin is a bright orange packed with shimmer! I have a lot of orange in my stash, but again nothing like this one. The formula on this was pretty much exactly the same as Get Your Lem-On, very sheer. On it's own I used 4 coats and 2 coats over white on my ring finger. Much like Get Your Lem-On, over white it killed the shimmer a little. This one smelled like orange Pez!

Yum Gum is a light highlighter pink. Not very unique color wise, but one of the better formulated polishes in this set. It's was pretty opaque! I only needed 2 coats on it's own for full opacity. Yum Gum smells like bubble gum, kinda like that Bubble Yum stuff I use to get when I was a kid on Halloween. I really did not personally enjoy the scent on this one, it was over powering to the point that I needed to take it off because it was giving me a headache.

Raspberry Rush is a darker more fuschia pink. The formula on this one of the better ones I only needed 2 coats on it's own. I really like this one, it smelled like raspberry pez!

Gimme a Grape Big Kiss is a red toned purple. Of the non-shimmery ones this one was my favorite. It was a bit sheer but SO shiny when it dried, I love it! I used 3 coats for full opacity and it smelled like grape candy and wasn't over powering! (sorry for the shorter nails in this one, I wasn't happy w/my original swatch and re-did it a few days later after filing down my nails!)

Last up is the collection namesake, Wicked Sweet which is a light shimmery blue. When I saw this in the bottle I was afraid it was going to be sheer like Get Your Lem-On but it wasn't as sheer as I had expected! I needed 3 coats for full opacity and there was no need to layer it over white. Wicked Sweet smells kinda like blueberry candy but it's not too strong.

Overall, I'm so-so about this collection. I really love Wicked Sweet, Get Your Lem-On and I Always Get My Man-Darin however I wish the last 2 were more opaque. If you don't mind doing a lot of coats I think they are worth picking up. My other pick is Gimme a Grape Big Kiss, I have a lot of purple but I really love that one! The rest I would probably pass on since I already own something similar.
