Today I have for you guys a polish from Essie's Summer 2011 Braziliant Collection. I haven't heard too much about this collection, just happened to find the display at Rite Aid the other day. I ended up picking up 2 colors Smooth Sailing, which I'm showing you today and Braziliant which is a vibrant orange with a pink shimmer. The rest of the collection wasn't very exciting IMO.
Smooth Sailing is a periwinkle blue with a silver shimmer. If Sew Psyched had a blue cousin this would be it. This color is fab, I liked it in the bottle but absolutely love it on the nail. The formula was also really good, Essie has been hit or miss lately and this is definitely a hit. I used 2 coats of Smooth Sailing for the photos below!
Oooh, I love this. I think I've seen this in a display and passed right over it. I'm definitely getting it now.

ReplyDeleteyou know what I first thought when I saw smooth sailing? It looks just like "lapis of luxury", just with silver sparkles added. I don't have it yet to compare, but I will definitely get it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a creme-fan, so I like lapis of luxury better than the silver sparkle in smooth sailing, but since I'm an absolute blue-lover, I will buy it nevertheless ;))
