Besides polish one thing I really love is Lush, I could spend a zillion dollars there if I had that much monday. If you have never heard of Lush or don't know what they make it's basically like heaven, they make soap, lotions, shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, face wash etc... a ton of stuff. Anyway, I always used to buy online until they opened a store down the street from Disneyland a little while back. I was SO excited, I love going into the store. When you walk out of the parking structure Lush is directly across the courtyard and you can smell it..it's amazing lol. Alright, so I went there last night and hauled...I got outta there for under $100 so I consider that a great success. I bought a mixture of some of my favorite things that I was out of and a few things I haven't tried yet!
First up I bought the Gorilla Perfume Sampler. I have been eyeing these online but have hesitated on buying any specific scent because I wanted to make sure I would like it. I like that this is available, now I can try everything before I buy. I also really like that one of the ways you can buy the full sized version is in a solid perfume that looks like it's in some kind of mega chapstick tube. I was talking to one of the girls who works at Lush last night and she was saying that she usually layers the scents to make something different....what a great idea! I think I will probably end up doing that too once I figure out what I like!
Next Up, BubbleGum Lip Scrub. This is something I have bought before but not in this flavor. I love their lip scrubs because my lips tend to get really dry and this is great for getting all the dry dead skin off of them and smoothing them out. Plus it smells and tastes yummy! I really enjoy the lip balms that Lush makes too but I wish they would put them out in tubes instead of only having them in pots. I'm not a huge fan of putting on lip balm with my finger which is usually the only kind of make up tool I carry around with me lol.
Next is Helping Hands hand cream. I LOVE this stuff, this is my second tub of it! I go back and forth between all their lotions and creams and this is one of my go-to's. It's thick and creamy but it doesn't leave your hands greasy and it sinks into my skin pretty quickly. I also really love Lemony Flutter (which I've posted about before) but I really only use that one at night because it does leave you greasy.
Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly. This is kind of a weird product, I originally bought my first Shower Jelly a few months ago because it intrigued me. It's a weird texture, kind of like Jello but a little stiffer. This one smells great, the Lush website says it smells of black currant and cherry...I just think it smells sweet and yummy. It's also really pretty, I need to find a nail polish that matches it. This looks like it wouldn't last long but I get tons of showers out of these. You only need a tiny bit of the jelly. I usually just pull off a little chunk and put it in that puffy loofa thing I keep in the shower (you can use it on a washcloth or just in your hand too). It's kinda crazy how little product it takes to get a great lather out of it.
Next is the New! Shampoo Bar, yup that seems to be the name of it. I didn't look in the store but that's what it says online. This is a new to me one, I have tried a different Shampoo Bar, but I can't remember which is was...it's been a while! I decided to pick this specific one up for a couple reasons, it smells great...like cinnamon! It also helps stimulate your scalp so you don't shed as much hair...I have a big problem with that, when I get stressed it seems like I lose a lot of hair when I'm brushing it. I'm hoping this will help with that! This is another thing like the Shower Jelly, it looks like you won't get a lot of uses out of it but you do. I believe Lush says 60-80 washes is what you should get out of it. I'm not sure since I didn't keep a tally last time...I just know it lasted a while!
Next up is Jungle Solid Conditioner, this is a completely new to me product. I've never tried any of the Lush conditioners. Now this used to come in a huge chunk but they have made it into this cute little bar now, it's about the same size as the Shampoo Bar, but a little taller. It smells really good, I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but I like it! I'm looking forward to using this and seeing if I like it!
Next up is Demon In The Dark Soap. I LOVE Lush's soap, I've tried a bunch of the different soaps from Lush but never this scent. This is not the pretties soap they make, it will look better once I have taken the black wax part off (I was too tired last night when I was taking these photos lol). I love the smell of this one too, it's very minty, I think it will be great to help wake me up in the morning.
Next is Ice Blue Soap, this one is also very minty smelling. It's one of my favorites from Lush...I already have a little chunk of it but it's about gone. I tend to use this more as a hand soap than a shower soap, it doesn't moisturize very well in my opinion so that's why.
Last up is Herbalism, this is a sample the girl who rang me up suggested. I've actually never tried any of the face cleansers/scrubs/soaps etc.. that Lush makes. Not sure why, but I'm excited to try this one out! The girl who suggested this one says it's good for oily and acne prone skin which lucky me suits me pretty well.
This is what it looks like in Macro, kinda gross but cool...I had to post this picture lol
Alright so that's it! I love Lush, I could easily spend a bazillion dollar there. Something I love but didn't pick up are their Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars. The tub at my house sucks so I usually only buy those when I'm going on vacation and know I will have a nice tub in the room.
What do you guys love from Lush? I know I can't be the only one obsessed with them! I'm also really interested in their Henna hair dyes...have any of you tried them? What do you think?
