Lush Haul!

Good Morning guys! Happy Saturday, my favorite day of the week! I got to sleep in today...it's been great! Today I have something a little different for you, not related to nail polish. Hopefully you guys don't mind :)

Besides polish one thing I really love is Lush, I could spend a zillion dollars there if I had that much monday. If you have never heard of Lush or don't know what they make it's basically like heaven, they make soap, lotions, shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, face wash etc... a ton of stuff. Anyway, I always used to buy online until they opened a store down the street from Disneyland a little while back. I was SO excited, I love going into the store. When you walk out of the parking structure Lush is directly across the courtyard and you can smell it..it's amazing lol. Alright, so I went there last night and hauled...I got outta there for under $100 so I consider that a great success. I bought a mixture of some of my favorite things that I was out of and a few things I haven't tried yet!

First up I bought the Gorilla Perfume Sampler. I have been eyeing these online but have hesitated on buying any specific scent because I wanted to make sure I would like it. I like that this is available, now I can try everything before I buy. I also really like that one of the ways you can buy the full sized version is in a solid perfume that looks like it's in some kind of mega chapstick tube. I was talking to one of the girls who works at Lush last night and she was saying that she usually layers the scents to make something different....what a great idea! I think I will probably end up doing that too once I figure out what I like!

Next Up, BubbleGum Lip Scrub. This is something I have bought before but not in this flavor. I love their lip scrubs because my lips tend to get really dry and this is great for getting all the dry dead skin off of them and smoothing them out. Plus it smells and tastes yummy! I really enjoy the lip balms that Lush makes too but I wish they would put them out in tubes instead of only having them in pots. I'm not a huge fan of putting on lip balm with my finger which is usually the only kind of make up tool I carry around with me lol.

Next is Helping Hands hand cream. I LOVE this stuff, this is my second tub of it! I go back and forth between all their lotions and creams and this is one of my go-to's. It's thick and creamy but it doesn't leave your hands greasy and it sinks into my skin pretty quickly. I also really love Lemony Flutter (which I've posted about before) but I really only use that one at night because it does leave you greasy.

Next is another one of my favorite things, Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly. This is kind of a weird product, I originally bought my first Shower Jelly a few months ago because it intrigued me. It's a weird texture, kind of like Jello but a little stiffer. This one smells great, the Lush website says it smells of black currant and cherry...I just think it smells sweet and yummy. It's also really pretty, I need to find a nail polish that matches it. This looks like it wouldn't last long but I get tons of showers out of these. You only need a tiny bit of the jelly. I usually just pull off a little chunk and put it in that puffy loofa thing I keep in the shower (you can use it on a washcloth or just in your hand too). It's kinda crazy how little product it takes to get a great lather out of it.

Next is the New! Shampoo Bar, yup that seems to be the name of it. I didn't look in the store but that's what it says online. This is a new to me one, I have tried a different Shampoo Bar, but I can't remember which is was...it's been a while! I decided to pick this specific one up for a couple reasons, it smells great...like cinnamon! It also helps stimulate your scalp so you don't shed as much hair...I have a big problem with that, when I get stressed it seems like I lose a lot of hair when I'm brushing it. I'm hoping this will help with that! This is another thing like the Shower Jelly, it looks like you won't get a lot of uses out of it but you do. I believe Lush says 60-80 washes is what you should get out of it. I'm not sure since I didn't keep a tally last time...I just know it lasted a while!

Next up is Jungle Solid Conditioner, this is a completely new to me product. I've never tried any of the Lush conditioners. Now this used to come in a huge chunk but they have made it into this cute little bar now, it's about the same size as the Shampoo Bar, but a little taller. It smells really good, I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but I like it! I'm looking forward to using this and seeing if I like it!

Next up is Demon In The Dark Soap. I LOVE Lush's soap, I've tried a bunch of the different soaps from Lush but never this scent. This is not the pretties soap they make, it will look better once I have taken the black wax part off (I was too tired last night when I was taking these photos lol). I love the smell of this one too, it's very minty, I think it will be great to help wake me up in the morning.

Next is Ice Blue Soap, this one is also very minty smelling. It's one of my favorites from Lush...I already have a little chunk of it but it's about gone. I tend to use this more as a hand soap than a shower soap, it doesn't moisturize very well in my opinion so that's why.

Last up is Herbalism, this is a sample the girl who rang me up suggested. I've actually never tried any of the face cleansers/scrubs/soaps etc.. that Lush makes. Not sure why, but I'm excited to try this one out! The girl who suggested this one says it's good for oily and acne prone skin which lucky me suits me pretty well.

This is what it looks like in Macro, kinda gross but cool...I had to post this picture lol

Alright so that's it! I love Lush, I could easily spend a bazillion dollar there. Something I love but didn't pick up are their Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars. The tub at my house sucks so I usually only buy those when I'm going on vacation and know I will have a nice tub in the room.

What do you guys love from Lush? I know I can't be the only one obsessed with them! I'm also really interested in their Henna hair dyes...have any of you tried them? What do you think?

I love them, I hear mixed reviews on their lip scrub but it works really well for me. Gets all the dead dry stuff of and makes my lips really smooth!

  4. I love Lush too! So impressed by your haul and now after reading about everything you got I want to try them all. Could spend hours in there... We've done a few Lush reviews as well I'll have to remember to post more, it's always good to see others' experiences with different products!

  6. I never even knew Anaheim had a lush store. I'm very tempted to stop by.

  7. I love the lip scrubs. Despite using them pretty much every day I still have so much left. Awesome product.

Also, I totally recommend Lush's facial cleansers. I used Dark Angels (because my face is as oil as a oil pit) and it has really help with that, and with my pores. I want to try Herbalism, but Dark Angels has been working so well I don't want to mess my skin up. I think you'll like it, and if not give one of the other cleansers a chance. Something could definitely work for you.

  8. You know I had no idea they had conditioner bars now. How neat. I looove some of their soaps, but I miss my powder that they discontinued. =[ It smelled like the creamy candy bubble bar, which I love and the rockstar soap. Mmmm. Some of these look awesome though. =D I may have to make a future order to Lush. I haven't purchased from them in awhile.

  9. Great haul! You picked up a lot of goodies that I haven't tried...and I've tried tons!

My favorites are Honey I Washed The Kids soap (such a delicious scent!), Enzemon moisturizer, Ocean Salt Scrub, Buffy bar, Cupcake facemask, Soft Coeur massage bar (another yummy scent - sometimes I even use it as a solid perfume), Breath of Fresh Air toner (so refreshing!)...honestly the list goes on and on... :D

  10. Ooh! I forgot to mention, I'm wearing Revlon's Royal - it's a gorgeous blue jelly that, with 3 coats, looks pretty close to Sweetie Pie :)

I feel your pain, before the one in Anaheim opened a couple years ago I always wished there was one near me, shopping online isn't the same! I hope they open one near you soon!

Me too! I could seriously spend all day in there, I love looking at everything and smelling and touching it! I'll have to go check out your reviews, see if there is anything I haven't tried yet!

yep, I'm not sure exactly when it opened but the first time I visited was in May 2009. It's at that Gardenwalk shopping center on Katella pretty much right across from Disneyland!

totally agree with you about the lip scrubs, they last forever. I had my last one for a few months and I use it pretty much every day also!

I'll have to check out Dark Angels next time I go, it sounds like it might be good for me too! I always mean to try their face stuff but have never gotten around to buying it! Thanks for the recommendation!

I *think* the conditioner bar is somewhat new, at least that's what the girl working there said. She was saying it used to come in big chunks but they just recently started making them in those small bars. I don't ever remember seeing it in the large chunks though, hmm. lol

I love the cramy candy bubble bar! That one is my favorite! I actually have about 1/2 of one sitting in my room just waiting for me to go somewhere with a good tub so I can use it!

  16. @OnceBitten

*makes note of Revlon Royal* I don't have that polish but if it looks like Sweetie Pie I think I need it!

I'm going to need to check out a lot of the stuff you love there, we have a few that overlap like Honey I Washed The Kids Soap and Ocean Salt. The rest I've never tried! I am especially intrigued by the Cupcake Face mask, how have I never seen that?!? lol

  19. Wow what a haul! I am so jealous.
I was actually in Lush today picking up a few things for a giveaway, promised myself it would be in and out and ended up coming out with quite a few things for myself haha.

I also love that lip scrub, it tastes SO good.
Their facial cleansers are all super good, i have never tried Herbalism as i have very dry skin, but i do use Aquamarina and it does wonders for me.

  20. Oh wow! What a great haul. I try to stay away from Lush, because it's hard to hold back. I'm not a big cinnamon lover, so I didn't really love the NEW shampoo bar, but I really love Seanik, which is the salty blue bar. I really really want to try the jungle conditioner--- if you have time I'd love to your thoughts on it. In terms of the lip scrub, that stuff is one of my must-haves. My lips just don't feel good unless they've get a good scrub once in a while =P OK, sorry for the long comment--- I just love LUSH!

  21. I haven't been to Lush in ages, but I'm now lemming everything... though hebalism does look a little guacamole-ish/gross. Would make a good polish colour though.

  22. Awesome haul! I swear by Lemony Flutter and Helping Hands, they leave my hands and cuticles flawless!

  23. Wow another lush addict! I love it too! The lipscrub is absolutely to die for! Magic!

  24. Except for the perfumes (which I don't like at all) you picked all my favorite products lol ^^

  25. Wow, you bought so many things, I'm envious! I looove Lush, I love the way they are so natural but I hate the way it's so expensive D:
    Great haul :D

  26. My favorite soaps are Demon in the dark and Sandstone. And their bathstuff are lovely

  27. Awesome haul. I can't wait for your reviews. I'm especially excited about the lip scrub. I have so dry and flaky lips. I think I should check that out. But I wonder if it's expensive though, because where I'm from Lush is a little expensive.

By the way, I gave you a stylish blogger award, if you don't mind, http://resplendentrainbows.blogspot.com/2011/04/stylish-blogger-award-and-giveaway-wins.html. Sorry about the link spam but I just love your blog and decided to give you the award!

  28. Geez, thanks for fueling my latent desire for a Lush haul.
I've used their henna dye--Caca Marron--twice, and I really like it. There's a bit of a learning curve, and it definitely helps to have someone help (at least apply it, if your hair is anywhere near as, well, plentiful as mine), but I did all right the first time on my own. I love how soft and shiny it makes my hair, and it makes it just red enough to notice, but not red enough to be all, "OMG LOOK AT ME!" I definitely recommend it--and definitely advise finding a friend to try it with.

  31. I've never used any Lush products. I love shower gels and body butters. I'll have to try something some time.

  32. great haul!
I like the sample of the perfumes, and I want me some of that bubblegum scrub! (:

  33. I love herbalism! I have greasy, shiny skin (very teenagery) but herbalism sorts it all out :)

  34. Hi, great haul! I have tried the henna hair dye bars. It's awesome that they are all natural, but man are they a pain! You make this gloppy paste and have to leave it on for hours. Washing it out takes a while, but the end result is nice! I have pretty dark brown hair, and I tried the Caca Brun. It didn't really change the color of my hair... just made it soft and shiny, but I think that's because it was so close to my natural color. One of the girls that works at the lush I go to had this firey red hair and she attributed it to the henna hair dye. So I think if you have lighter hair you'll get a better result. I think they're worth trying at least! :)

  35. Okay so, Demon in the Dark is TOTALLY my favorite soap! LOVE IT! My dresser drawers all smell of it, since I store my soaps in there... & The shampoo bars are just awesome. I have seanik, and it makes my hair so shiny & strong! I love LUSH almost as much as I love polish... and just a smidge less than I love your blog!

  36. Did the shampoo bar help with hair coming out when brushing? I have the same problem... I love Lush, and the Herbalism face scrub is great..
