I bought this a few years back, then lost it for a long time and re-found it last time I was going through my polish. OPI put out Pawlish "color for nails for those with tails" a while back, not exactly sure when! Cute right? I picked up Doghouse Blues since Degen is a manly dog, he can't walk around with girlie pink toes lol. These are meant to be 1 coaters but Degen has black toenails so the color payoff with 1 coat isn't too great. I don't think Degen minds though ;). I did some googling and apparently dog nail polish is actually still made (though I don't think these OPI ones are) and comes in quite a few colors, I had no idea there was actually a market for this kinda thing!
Before anyone says it, I know someone will come along and get their panties twisted about painting a dogs nails...and well you can't please everyone. I would never paint his nails with "regular" polish and he really didn't mind it. Any hateful comments will not be deleted.
That said, here is Degen modeling his pretty toes. All the neighborhood dogs are jealous of him now!

ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! I am really impressed Degen let you put it on. He must be a very laid back kind of doggie. All the dogs I know dislike having their nails clipped so I can't see them staying still for nail painting.

ReplyDeleteoh he haaaaaates having his nails clipped, I take him to the vet to get it done so he doesn't try and murder me for doing it. But he doesn't mind when I touch his feet otherwise. He just sat there all calm while I was painting his toes! lol

You are a brave girl to file Patsy's nails! I have to take Degen to the vet to get his nails trimmed because he hates it so much!

ReplyDeleteIt wasn't super stinky but it did smell like nail polish, usually Degen doesn't care for the smell but it didn't seem to bother him when I was painting his nails!
