Nfu Oh 61

Good Morning!  I am SO excited about what I have for you guys today. This was on my wishlist FOREVER. Nfu Oh 61, ahhhh! I thought I would never own this, it was sold out for months on faboloustreet, I had given up hope. Then it came back in stock and I snatched one up, woohoo! I think it's already sold out again though, which is a shame...blame the jerks who buy multiple bottles with the intention of selling them on ebay for lots of money (I have a strong dislike for people like that).

I saw a comparison on Make Up Alley a couple weeks ago between this new batch of 61 and a bottle the person bought a year ago and it seems to be a little less holo but damn...it's still awesome! When I bought 61 I also picked up 51 (!!!) and the Aqua base coat. It does seem like the Aqua base helped with application. I'm going to need to try it again with a holo I've used before not with an Aqua base to see if it really does make a difference. I used 2 coats of Nfu Oh 61 for the photos below.

  1. Great colour but I think it's identical to GOSH's silver holo (though I don't think you can get GOSH products in the US?)

  4. I have this one on the way and I'm glad to see that it's not as bad as I've heard. When I bought it last week I noticed they have a limit of 2 per order so that should help with the ebay resellers :)

  8. GORGEOUSSS! wantttt. All I know is that fabulous street limited the amount of #61 you could buy to 2 so I think that will help with the ebay greedies.

  10. It's so gorgeous! I love the holo! Also, what does the aqua base look like on it's own? I'm just not understanding what you mean. (:

  11. I don't think there are too many people reselling, I think it's just a super popular color! Luckily I was able to go to Nfu-oh headquarters when I was in Korea a couple weeks ago and buy mine there! It looks gorgeous on you.

  12. @Minty

It's kind of a milky white. I'm not exactly sure what makes it so special to be honest lol

  13. Jeez, I put your blog in my "daily reading list" and the day after you post about the craziest polish ever. I adore this one. And to answer your questions about the Aqua-base, yes, it does work on helping the application of many polishes, mainly all the "super fast drying hard to apply" ones. It has changed my life with CG Millenium and all the other Khromes, and with the OPI Suedes as well. I also confirm that Nfu Oh 61 is similar to Gosh Holo, but for me Gosh is more expensive and ugly in the bottle, so I keep my love to Nfu Oh!!!

  14. 61 looks stunning on you! Hopefully one day I can get my hands on this baby too. :)
Bummer that they changed their formula though. :(

  15. The Aqua Base is also supposed to intensify the holo effect by creating a surface where they can all lie down properly.
I've seen some picture comparisons of holos with and without the aqua base, and it looks like it works.

  16. I have it too, but mine is more holo indeed! Why did they change the formula? *sadness* This is how it looks on me: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5HgmyelSO8Q/TcA27cgosLI/AAAAAAAABTQ/sk0PmgaT_TQ/s1600/Videoforskin+009.JPG

  17. Wow! I just love holos. Just wish we got a little more sun up here so it would be more fun to wear them!

  18. I have this and the one in spring green, so pretty! You have to use the aqua base, if you don't use it, it's really tricky to work with. You shude try the aqua base from makup store!

  19. How do you know when they are back up for sale, do you just keep checking? haha!

  20. I keep forgetting to buy from this website. I've got to get their holos.

  21. Just a hint for everyone that wants/needs this: It just came back in stock @ Fabuloustreet!

I just ordered mine, so I feel it's safe to share this with my fellow lacquer lovers... :D
