Butter London All Hail The Queen

Good Morning! I almost just said Happy Friday...wishful thinking! Today I have for you guys a polish that sat in my untried for a long time, why...I have no idea. Butter London All Hail The Queen aka All Hail McQueen came out a while back and it was instantly a polish that I *needed*. Then I took forever to buy it and let it sit in my untried pile...I can't believe I did that! All Hail The Queen is a gorgeous neutral brown with a fine holographic glitter running throughout it. My pictures don't show the holo very well but I could easily see it in person! My only disappointment with this is that I wasn't expecting the brown to be so dark, I'd seen swatches and it didn't look this dark in a lot of them. I still love it though! The formula was great, I'm starting to be such a fan girl of Butter London polish much to the dismay of my wallet haha!

I used 2 coats of Butter London All Hail The Queen for the photos below.

  2. Butter London is starting to suck me in. I love how this colour is kind of neutral but then it has like secret holo glitter to make it not so boring!

  3. Love this polish... And your nails are so long! Wow, where have I been? Haha.

Also, what's up with the different names? I always thought it was called All Hail McQueen, but when I got my bottles they read All Hail The Queen... Anyone know the story behind that?

  4. I love this color! I bought it a couple weeks ago, only to get home and realize it looks just like CG Cyberspace. I think the holo is more evident in the Butter polish. I will have to swatch them next to eachother.

  6. I also have had this shade for a couple months and not tried it yet other than a drop on paper. Funny as I thought from the bottle it was possibly going to be really light hue. For me, it's a good thing if it comes out darker on. I think that is a general 'rule' however in picking polish out - to always count on it going on the nail looking darker than it is in the bottle. I might be wrong or stuck with old 'rules' on that one. Not sure.

  7. I have this color on right now! I thought it was going to be too light but I like how it came out darker. Since I had it on for a couple of days I'm deciding to put either the OPI shatter turquoise or red on top of it.

  8. I feel like the formula of All Hail the Queen is different from that of All Hail McQueen, but I haven't seen a definitive comparison of either. (I don't remember McQueen looking like it had that red sheen that you can see in the second picture in the bottle, but I never saw McQueen in person thanks to Ulta not fulfilling my order.) I'm all for as many holo polishes as possible, but if they dialed it down for "the Queen," thumbs down!

  9. This was the first Butter London I ever wore; it's such a great combination of color and finish, one of those "office bling" polishes I turn to when I want to be conservative but not too much. :)

  17. Hi Jen:
I would buy this Holo just for the very reason it's like stained glass and love the color of this polish, yes, it's a little dark but that makes the whole effect even more brilliant and amazing. I love the Holos and this would look great as a pedicure...thanks for showing this polish. Love this web blog, and your so good as a friendly and supportive web blogger. Namaste.
    Love,
    George :)

  20. Hi, I just discovered your site and am really enjoying it.  I bought this color today, because of your post (love neutral colors on my hands).  It is beautiful.  It reminds me a little of Sephora by OPI's Under My Trench Coat. I get a lot of compliments on that color.  What are your thoughts on that line of polishes, btw..?
