Nicole by OPI Texture Coat Collection Swatches!

Good Morning guys! Hope you all had a good night! Mine was kind of annoying, so here's to a new annoying free day! haha

Today I have for you guys the new Texture Coat Collection from Nicole by OPI. In case you are wondering, yes, they are the same formula as the OPI Shatters with the exception of the Gold since OPI  has not put a gold out. I'm not sure if Gold is the same formula as the Sephora by OPI Blasted Gold or not.

Black Texture over Wet n Wild Sea of Dreams

Red Texture over Icing Epic Winning

Turquoise Texture over Wet n Wild Magic Trident

Silver Texture over Wet n Wild Sea Witch. This picture is in the shade because my camera could not handle how sparkletastic this was.

Gold Texture over Wet n Wild Diving for Pearls. First picture is in the sun, the second is in the shade.

White Texture over Wet n Wild Waves of Enchantment. This was the only one I had troubles with, I think the brush is to blame, it was one of the flat wide ones and a bit wonky on top of that :(

I don't know if the retail versions of these will have the new flat wide Nicole by OPI brushes or the old skinny ones. Half of mine were the new brush and half were the old one. I did find that the ones with the new super wide brush were a little hard for me to use, especially on my pinky finger. Overall I like these, what can I say I love me some crack. These might be easier for you guys to find which I think is great, they are also a little bit cheaper than the OPI versions!

Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquers and Nail Treatments contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde.  Nicole by OPI formulas are long-lasting, fast-drying, and salon-quality, with products featuring the Perfect Stroke brush for streak-free, even coverage. Texture Coat will be available July 2011 for $7.99 each at ULTA, Target, Meijer, Harmon, Wegmans, Sears, and H-E-B. Texture Coat will be available in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart and Loblaw.

  1. Awesome, I might be able to get my hands on some of these since regular OPI's are hard to find around here.

  3. I'm really loving the Turquoise Texture combination you used. And it's kind of funny how all the brands owned by OPI all have to have different names for the same thing. Shatter, Blasted, and Texture. Lol. :D

  6. I like the way the white texture crackled. I havent seen any photos where the crackle has been so consistently horizontal. Also the red texture looks awesome over epic winning!

  7. I'm really digging the gold one. I only have a black CG crackle polish, but I love pairing it with gold underneath... it'll be fun to do it the other way around!:)

  8. I like the gold texture! And I'm glad that these are little more affordable because I'm always curious about them, but hardly ever where shatter/crackle/texture after an initial swatch. :(

  10. I like them but they are the same as shatter. I would get the gold because shatter doesnt have one yet. The silver looks like it has a pink tint in the bottle and on your nails, its very pretty.

  11. Did they finally get the WnW Mermaid Cove collection here in So Cal? I've been searching high and low and still haven't found them!!

I wish I could say that I found it anywhere around here. A nice blogging friend found it where she lives and picked up a set for me. I might die from shock if the collection ever turns up in So Cal

that pink is a little bit of my camera reflecting in the polish :( I wish it had a pink tint that would be awesome!

  14. These are pretty awesome, but since I already own the original black and silver shatters, I'll pass on those colors. I love the red over the blue. It's very Fourth of July.

  16. I really wish NOPI had done different coloured crackles than the OPI ones that are already available! But they are pretty and your colour combinations are gorgeoussss!

  18. Ugh. I am so not with the shatter/crackle & all the other names other lines have for the same. I see teen written all over this wave in polish style. It looks messy. I was interested when it first hit...but major saturation point. Out of all these, the gold is more interesting I agree. Funny that OPI had not come out with a true gold yet considering that's a go to shade for overlays - silver&golds. What a mess this white one is. Odd too that they all had different brush types in them!

  19. *crosses fingers that they have the wide brush* I love the new Nicole wide brush!! I'm excited for these since OPI's are harder for me to get unless I order them online.

  21. How do you USE it??? I have the black one and it looks like hell! Every time I try it, it's all lumpy and messy... I hate it and i regret to have lost 10$ over this. Would you have some tips?

  22. You may need to thin it with nail polish thinner (not nail polish remover or acetone). Crack polishes tend to get thick over time

  23. It's a good tip but it's not thick yet. The fist time i put it on my nails, it's like regular nail polish, if i put two coats one right after the other, it's messy and lumpy like i said... I'm pretty sad, your pictures are AMAZING! What do you put under it? Is the nail polish completely dry? I would love to be able to do the same thing!

  24. I wonder if you might have just gotten a bad bottle? Mine wasn't like that at all :(

I let the base polish dry completely, a lot of the crack polishes won't work (or they crack very ugly looking) over polish that isn't 100% dry

  25. ohh also, you should only use 1 coat of the Texture polish, it should always go over another shade :)

  26. Ah maybe i don't wait enought... I'll try this! Thanks a lot!

  27. I have the plain ol' Turquoise shatter from OPI. I have had it for a while now and no formula issues. it's super fun. I like it over the gold! BTW- your blog is my go to for nail polish reviews!!
