Wet n Wild Waves of Enchantment vs. Zoya Rica

Good Morning guys! Hopefully everyone's weekend is starting out well! I'm waiting for VW to finish fixing up my car, I had to take it in for the 30,000 mile service. If you follow me on twitter you might have seen me talking about a warning light that has been on for months about some outside light being out on my car. No one in my family could figure out which light it was that was supposedly out, so hopefully the guys at the dealership can figure it out! I am really looking forward to finding out what was out!

Today I have for you guys a comparison! Wet n Wild Waves of Enchantment is pretty much the only polish from the Mermaids Cove collection that I was hearing a lot about, there was a lot of talk of it being a close dupe of Zoya Rica from the Sunshine collection. I actually don't think they are *that* close. Definitely in the same color family, the Wet n Wild polish looks like it would fit in perfectly with the Sunshine collection! Rica seems to be a bit darker and more of a coral pink. In the shade they were much closer in color. If you can't find the Mermaids Cove collection (like me and 98% of everyone else) then Rica is a great alternative. I don't think you really need both. I prefer the Zoya, I like the brush and formula a little better...but the Wet n Wild is a lot cheaper!

I used 3 coats of each polish for the photos below.

  1. I gotta say, I like the vibrancy that the Zoya gives off much better

  2. I don't think I would wear both. I like the WnW better because it's more pink and I'm a sucker for pinks!

  3. I like the Zoya one better as well. I think it's much more beautiful and vibrant and the base is a little stronger than the Wet N Wild. They are very close though.

  4. Being me, I would need both. I can always justify a pink/coral with that golden glowy glitter. ;)

  5. Zoya is always going to be my fav when comparisons are made to W&W. I have a lemming list a mile long from Zoya

  6. They look so similar in the last few pictures! I can't find that Wet n Wild collection either :( Boo! Luckily I own Rica :)

  7. The last two pics make them look pretty much the same to me! Good to know I don't need the WnW color since I already have Faye! Thanks for the comparison.

  8. Zoya has more depth and shine in it...

  9. I so want the WNW polish but I cant find it anywhere, it looks so pretty!!

  10. i love that color!!!!!!

i wish id show up around here, ive been looking.

  11. I like Rica waaay more!! Thanks for the comp! Now I definitely don't need/want WoE b/c I love Rica soooo much!

  12. They're both stunning. I have Rica (its one of my favorites, too) so I think I'll be passing on the Wet n Wild one. Thank you for the comparison. I had been hearing that they were similar, so it is nice to see them actually side by side

  13. I don't like either of them really, but Rica is better I think.
It looks brighter and more summery to me.
    Thanks for the comparison.

  14. Not close at all to me. I have to Zoya so my heart won't be broken if I don't find this one.

  15. I like the zoya better 'cause it seems to be a richer red hue. I've been wondering if you could do a post on nail care? You do so much painting and seem to have very good nails despite the supposed onslaught of chemicals. What do you do to keep your nails healthy? Process in between painting?
Also, nail polish remover is such a pain! Do you have a good brand you can recommend?
Love your blog ;) You've lead me to some of my favorite polishes!
