Butter London No More Waity Katie

Good Morning guys, happy Monday! Hope you all had a good weekend!

Today I have for you guys Butter London No More Waity Katie. I recently bought this at Ulta, it came with a cute mini sized bottle of their remover...I couldn't resist. I had my eye on this polish for a looooong time but all I ever heard about it was the awful formula so I never bought it until the little set came out and I couldn't say no anymore. I have to say, the formula was not nearly as bad as I expected. A little sheer but not horrible like most of the reviews I had read about it, I've used worse. No More Waity Katie is kind of a weird color, it's a purplish-grey base with lilac glitter. I love it, but it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea! I used 3 coats for the photos below.

  1. Damn! After your review....I think I have to have this! If you say the formula ain't THAT bad, that means I can deal with it. Must get it when I get back!

  8. Your swatches look MUCH better than mine! Did you layer it over something? I had 3 coats on, and I still had some bald patches.

Have you tried the remover yet? I can't seem to get over the smell.

  9. @Angie

nope it's on it's own. Maybe the fixed the formula or something since it first came out?

I like the smell of their remover lol

  11. I just bought this over the weekend and applied it last night. It took 3 coats for full coverage and it seemed like the polish in the bottle was gummy after the second coat. It was weird, but its really pretty so maybe I'll try to thin it out next time.

  12. I don't care how horrible the formula is- I just have to have this polish!!!!

  13. I can only imagine that they changed the formula. I got it right when it first came out and the best way that I can describe it's application is like trying to paint your nails with a sugar scrub.

  14. I love NMWK! It's especially great for layering. I've worn it over Butter LONDON Marrow and OPI Funky Dunkey, and it added a great sparkle to both polishes. I'm glad you didn't have too much problem with the formula - I bought an early batch back in April/May and never had a problem. BL wins again!

  15. I always thought also it was an odd shade and never could decide after looking a # of times at bottle and swatches if it was an odd good or odd bad. But I did decide it did not need to come home to live with me over other London Butters I would rather pop the $ for. But like you, if I had seen it in a mini bottle it would have been hard to resist. Looks bumpy like many with too much glitter in them is.

  16. I love this polish, too. Thanks for giving it the thumbs up, it seems to be getting a bad reputation in the blog world! FYI a great polish for layering is RBL's Insouciant, it will bring out the dusty purple a bit without totally changing the color family.

  17. This looks really good on you...one of the best swatches I've seen of NMWK!

  18. If you layer it over Zoya's Caitlyn, it blends perfectly...

  19. I've been trying not to buy this. Kinda the only reason I want it is because my name is Katie. lol

  23. I didn't even bother to check this colour out until I saw your swatch. It looks really unique! Now I have to find a site that delivers BL to Asia...

  25. I totally bought it because of the free remover also (which I ended up loving) and the color is pretty and the formula wasn't so terrible but definitely a 3 coater.

  27. Just recently discovered your blog and love it! I adore this polish, but I can't justify the price. Have you happened to discover any good dupes?

unfortunately I haven't ever seen anything quite like it :(

  29. Splurged on this for my birthday today...formula was a little weird!! I hope it wears as well as Wallis (which is one of my favorites in my stash). Haven't seen ANYTHING like this, nothing even close to a dupe from any other brand.

  30. LOVE this blog first of all.  I have one heck of a collection but I don't polish my nails much anymore - but I am starting to again!  I just bought this nail polish because I like weird colors and maybe I am doing something wrong, but the glitter seems all buried by the polish.  Not all lovely and lilac like your shade photo :(  I love the formula - nice and fast drying so I don't mind using 3 coats.  But not sure I would buy more glitters (fave) in this brand unless there's an application trick that I am missing?  Thanks <3

  31. It seems like there is a good & bad version out there of this polish, I think butter london might have reformulated it or something. If you want the glitter to peek out a bit more you could try putting a little bit of nail polish remover on a cotton ball and lightly swiping it over the nail when your done with your nails...it's what I usually do when glitter hides more than I'd like it to!
