The trio contains the ever popular Happy Birthday which I already own and you can see here. It also has 2 new shades, Candy Shop and Forget You which are basically fun new variations of Happy Birthday!
Candy Shop is a bubble gum pink base with loads of glitter mixed in. A see a ton of color, both hex glitter and small round glitter. I really love how this looks, I was actually surprised by how much I liked it! The bubblegum pink is SO fun! A while back I was talking to Kellie from Also Known As about this shade (might have been someone else but I'm pretty sure it was Kellie lol). We were pondering which Candy Shop song this was named after. I think we both decided that it was probably after the 50 cent version because Deb is a gangster like that lol. Now I have no idea if that's true but I like the idea of it haha!
I used 2 coats of Candy Shop for the photos below. There were some bald-ish spots but I liked the way it looked and thought adding another coat might be overkill!

Forget You is all that wonderful glitter in a black jelly base. I was a little worried about this one, that maybe the black wouldn't let the glitter peek through enough but nope...not the case! I really love this one. I do prefer Candy Shop but not by much. The formula on both Forget You and Candy Shop was a little thick due to the amount of glitter in them but they were pretty easy to apply! I used 2 coats for Forget You for the photos below.

ReplyDeleteMe want Candy shop! *faints*
ReplyDeleteI do love these but they are so easy to franken I dont see the point of spending the $$$$$ on them. I love the Black one.
ReplyDelete42 isn't bad for 3 lippmanns, but I saw frankens of both of these shades and the base was a lot more opaque... i think I'd rather make my own =\
ReplyDeleteI do love that candy shop tho!
I just can't decide if I like them or not. I think I'd like them better if there was a little less glitter.
ReplyDeleteI really love these, but did you notice they don't have the square glitter? I'm so bummed about that.
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING Candy Shop. Everytime I see the name the 50 Cent song pops in my head. I bet that is what she named it after :)
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of depth in these shades but they don't look as shiny & blingy as when you layer HB on top.
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm loving Candy Shop!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to buy these! Love Candy Shop!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous OMG I love it....So worth the price tag!
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful! I love them both....sigh......more polish I NEED! ;)
ReplyDeleteDude, they both look fabulous on you!!
ReplyDeletePlus, it's like a $14 savings if you don't already have Happy Birthday, which I didn't.
ReplyDeleteI have both of these on right now! Forget You is on my thumbs and ring fingers and Candy Shop is on the rest. I love them - so blingy!
ReplyDeleteI love both...they are amazing....i m in love with these...
ReplyDeleteI really do love the colors but I wouldn't pay that much for something I can create on my own. I can easily take my Milani Gems which is a dupe to Happy Birthday and mix it into a pink or black base. Still really pretty though. I wish they were cheaper.
ReplyDeleteit's lovely!
ReplyDeleteToo gorgeous! What's the best way to remove all that glitter?
ReplyDelete@Martensgirl
ReplyDeleteI use the foil method. You soak a cotton ball with acetone (or regular polish remove) and place it on the nail. Then wrap your finger with tin foil and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. When you take it off most of the glitter should come off very easily!
I prefer Candy Shop too...the more I see it, the more I desire it.

Not a fan of Shade at all but really liking Candyshop (not as much as Happ Birthday - but it's in there) - your shots are super!
ReplyDeleteOoops - I meant Forget You - and wrote 'shade' off your photo swatch saying it was taken in the shade! I really wonder how well this set will sell since so many folks bought HB already. Will folks buy this mini set just to get Candy Shop and gift our HB. There must be some fans of Forget You - but for me - it's really FORGET YOU - I don't even want it in my collection that's how much I am not liking it!
ReplyDeleteThese look just as awesome on the nails as they do in the bottle!
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are super pretty! I really like the pink one though, so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the swatches! I was afraid Candy Shop would be like Glitter In The Air and you've set my fears to rest. Forget You is so going to fill my goth-Christmas polish fixation--you know, when you want to wear glitter and black polish at the same time? Yeah, that one. ^_^ I can't wait until I receive mine!
ReplyDeletecandy shop! oooh nice swatches. i love it. maybe this will be my next bday lippmann splurge. i love my boom boom pow. or maybe i will try to franken this . lol
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! I really love Candy Shop!
ReplyDeletei need these! why can't they be cheap :(
ReplyDeleteThey are awesome and look stunning on you!
ReplyDeleteWow one big party on your nails.
ReplyDeleteI don't really care for these at all. Too many colors. I'd rather have shades of one or two colors, or rainbow flakes.. I can't justify how expensive this polish is, when it looks like I tried all my craft glitter in one polish....
ReplyDeletei was determined not to buy anymore nail polish for a while but this is making it really hard!!!
ReplyDeleteCandy Shop totally reminds me of those pink Circus Animal cookies!
ReplyDelete@hklinda
ReplyDeleteeven Happy birthday doesn't have square glitters anymore. I think hexagon is new HB.
I do prefer square one but mine is hexagon too...!
I just got this set and found your blog searching for swatches. I've just applied it now. i found that two coats was enough but added a coat of birthday party over the top to fill in any areas that were a tad bald. Looks good I think.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love your blog and I'm following you now. I hope you'll stop by mine sometime to say hey and of course follow back if you like it :)

so funny, i'm wearing the pink today, and I love it, thanks for the party collection, durable, sexy, fun that last, I work in a dental office, and this nail polish, using the base and top coat, actually works, without the fumes. thanks deborah for making nail polish fun and functional
