This is how I do nude polish...

Good Morning, happy Friday wooohooo! Anyone have any fun plans this weekend?  I think I'm going to get my hair cut tomorrow. No idea what the heck I want to do with it I just know I want something different!

Alright, something a little different today. I'm kinda burned out on color. In case you didn't notice I posted roughly a bazillion swatches this week (okay maybe not a bazillion, but a lot!). I needed a palette cleaner I guess, so I went nude-ish. Mani's like these are almost my favorite. They look so crisp and classic but are still fun to look at. I started out with a base of BB Couture Paradise. I got this in a blog sale a little while back and it's so pretty! It's kind of a chameleon, at first I thought it was a pink/white but the more I wear it the more it looks like a pink/beige...whatever it is I approve haha! There is a subtle shimmer in the bottle but it doesn't transfer onto the nail. I've worn this before and hadn't had problems with the formula but we had some issues this time so I needed 3 coats :(

Over Paradise I put on of my favorite flakies, Maybelline Colorama flakies in Blazes of Crystal. I like these flakies because they flash all the colors of the rainbow. A lot of the newer flakies only seem to flash like 3 colors. You could get a similar look to this using something like Nubar 2010 or any of the Inglot flakies, they just wouldn't flash all the same colors!

Shade

A different shady spot, it makes my skin look all yellow-ish but look at the flakies!!

  12. Barielle's Buddah-ful would be a good one to put over this as well.

  14. Really pretty, very fresh and clean. I do one all the time that is similar and really gets compliments with a deeper nude like Essie Sand Tropez or Deb Lippmann Naked with a topper of Deb Lippmann Glitter in the Air. It's so fresh and clean looking with that little surprise of the hex floaters and the coolness of that really sheer blue base in Glitter in the Air.

  21. Let me tell you that usually I dislike nude polish. To me, nude color is boring. But I have to admit that your take on nude polish with flakies is incredible and no more boring! Congratulations, it's beautiful! Flakies are so gorgeous on everything!

  24. Jen, this combo is really pretty! I actually really like this topcoat and stuff like that usually isn't my thing. All colors and they seem so milky and relaxed.

  25. Oh....so sad...The Colorama Blazes of Crystal is a thing of the past. My daughter and I were amazed at how pretty the two shades looked together and wanted to replicate the look. Can't find the nude shade either. We are new fans of your blog, and completely addicted to it! :D
