Hi guys! Cosmoprof Day 2 is a wrap, I don't think I'll be going tomorrow so I can beat traffic for the drive home...which is probably good because I can seriously not walk anymore. I think my feet have their own heartbeats now and even my hips hurt...I didn't even know that could happen lol! Today was awesome, saw tons of great stuff and talked to a bunch of awesome nail polish rock stars. The morning started off with the fabulous Deborah Lippmann, she was nice enough to sit down and talk with all of us nail bloggers that were there. It was so interesting, she was telling us stories behind some of the colors. She was also SO nice, I'm still kind of in shock that I met her! Little tidbit kind of involving Deborah (in a very roundabout way). While we were walking the show floor today we came across the NYX booth, they have a new line of their polish coming out around the end of August and they are using the same bottles as Deborah Lippmann's polish comes in...the caps are very different but the actual bottle is the same. I was kind of surprised by it.
Alright, first up for today is Color Club, I was SO excited to stop by their booth. I couldn't find it yesterday but a couple of the other girls did and they said there was awesome stuff going on there! They had a whole bunch of new stuff out. Color Club is coming out with a lot of glitter! 2 entire collections actually, 1 is called Beyond The Mistletoe and the other is called Backstage Pass. Pictures do these no justice, they were amazing in person! The Mistletoe polishes were full of holographic glitter pieces and were crazy sparkly!
I managed to snag some nail swatches of all the glitters. The Beyond the Mistletoe polishes are the top row and Backstage Pass is the bottom row!
I'm putting the rest of this post under a cut because it is LONG! Click the read more button below to see the rest!
Color Club also has some scented top coats coming out called Copycoats! I didn't get a chance to smell them unfortunately :(
Color Club also has a collection of metallics coming out called Foiled. I took a picture of the display but it didn't turn out great...however I do have this picture of the PR image for you along with a bottle shot of my favorite shade!
We also stopped by the LA Girl booth, they had a new collection out called Fruity! All of these polishes are scented and full of awesome glitter, the display picture does not do it justice! My favorite of the bunch is the glitter on the far left, it smells like Peach! I included a bottle shot of it below, it was whoa!
Next up is a new to me brand called Layla...they make magnetic polish!! The colors they offer are awesome and even include a glitter! These will be available online soon, like within a couple weeks! I should have a swatch up very soon of one of these and will let you know when they are available!
This is probably one of the coolest things I saw at Cosmoprof it's this machine called Nailstar that prints any kind of design onto your nail. It was beyond awesome! If I was rich I would own one of these!
You can kind of see the end result here, they put a picture of Sponge Bob on her nail lol
Somehow I missed like half of the Orly booth yesterday...but I found it today! They did have the fall Birds of a Feather Collection out along with the Mineral FX Collection!
Here are some bottle shots of Birds of a Feather. John from Orly gave us these awesome little zip drive things with all the bottle images...I wish everyone did that lol!
Mineral Fx was a collection I was really excited to see, in person they are gorgeous! Little tidbit for you, much like the Cosmix Fx Collection these will be a couple dollars more expensive, $10 is the retail price! My favorite was Rock Solid, I have a bottle pic for you below! You can click on the bottle shots to see them bigger, they are better that way!
Next up is SpaRitual's Holiday Collection called Twinkle, again amazing in person! Especially Illumination! Again, you can click on this to see it bigger and better!
Last up I went back to a couple booths I went to yesterday, China Glaze and Essie. I needed to see more of them in person. Also I needed to show you how freaking amazing that Essie flakie is with actual bottle shots!
Behold...my favorite thing of everything I saw, Essie Shine Of The Times:
Whew, thats it! I also had the chance to meet Zoya, yes...the Zoya today. She was SO nice, I loved chatting with her and hearing about her family! She is one interesting lady! I'm so glad I got to attend Cosmoprof this year, and I cannot wait for next year!

ReplyDeleteall day i have been looking forward to reading your post! yours so lucky!! i cant wait for you to swatch all these pretties.. and just out of curiosity.. is this convention like by invite only..or open to the public?
ReplyDeleteOMG I feel so poor already I am going to go broke lol!
ReplyDeleteO M G!!!! Like I need just about everything here... lol
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the pictures! So cool. I'm going to be so broke this fall and winter.
ReplyDeleteEeee, everything, esp. Shine of the Times, looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a trooper, Jen. Take some ibuprofen!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for making me want *that* Essie. I will try not to stab grandmas for it if they get in my way. Amen.
I don't even know where I'm going to begin! I guess by reading your blog more often and seeing more swatches! Can't believe you got to meet Deborah, Zoya and Katie all in 2 days...I'm in heaven just reading about it.
ReplyDeleteThis was like glitter overload, but I LOVE IT! And wow, Essie!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, thanks! I think I'm most excited about the ChG Electropop Lights collection. I like all those shades. Too bad my budget doesn't. I'm curious about the Essie flakie: what colors does it reflect? Is it like Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure?
ReplyDeleteI want the glitter O_O wow
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Essie Shine Of The Times is amazing ♥ !!!
ReplyDelete*drool*....just..*drool*
ReplyDeleteHow totally fun, dude!!!! Look at that Essie!!!! ahhhhhhhh
I likeeeeee!!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
so many great things to discover!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
Layla is an Italian brand and it's very popular over here although not really cheap. They are quite famous for their Ceramic effect and magnetic polishes. Glad to know they'll start selling overseas as well :)
ReplyDeleteLayla are launching in the UK soon too, I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm SO jealous you got to go. I want to somehow afford plane tickets to the US one (and also the Euro one!?). All the nail polish and all my amazingly beautiful and talented nail blogging ladies in one place?! So jealous :).
xo
Sara
I am SO much more excited for the Color Club collections for the rest of the year than I am for the higher end OPI and China Glaze ones! Wowwww this post made me drool.
ReplyDeleteoh man, these Color Club Glitters are amazing! And the scented top coats - interesting. I enjoyed their scented neons a lot. The Essie flaky polish is incredible, and I can't wait to get my hands on Orly collections. I've see early swatches of Bird of a Feather and I need like, most of this collection. Also, the orange from Mineral FX looks intiguing. If they are anything like the Cosmic FX - I need the all. CosmicFX is still the best nail polish collection I own. Oh, and the new China Glaze colors - Aquadelic and Gaga for green look really similar to Orly Frisky and Orly Fresh I just bought, but hopufully they are not dupes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my wallet won't be happy, but I can't wait to buy some of the beauties.
WOW! I feel like I semi went to Cosmo vicariously via your trip. I felt the rushing around the big convention display room looking at all this stuff and feeling like the kid in a candy store!
ReplyDeleteI have seen that stamping machine. The lady on TV Guide Channel reality show who owns The Painted Nail in West LA area has one. I am always amazed when she puts her hand in there - pushes a button, out it comes and blows on it - and rushes out the door off to her next adventure.
Sounds like your next adventure should be some good R&R for your feet. A nice foot soak when you get home while sitting on a heating pad for your sore hip sounds like it is in order!
Thanks for covering us while you were there and not leaving us all alone! My trip 'with you' was fab!
Wow! Thanks for sharing all of this. That Essie looks amazing and the Color Club glitters look so cool.
ReplyDeleteI saw that Nailstar thing on the reality show on the painted nail. She has one and I thought that was prety cool! AM excited for these collections!
ReplyDeleteWow, so many great polishes coming out! Guess I need to start saving some money for some hauls this autumn. Orly Mineral FX looks very interesting! Can't wait... And thanks for sharing your trip, wish we had an event like that over here (and all those great polish brands)...
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, every single collection I would look and pick my favorite and it would be the one you liked most too! We must be connected ;) I'm so excited for these, especially the Layla magnetics since I need a magnet for the ones I currently have!
ReplyDeleteThis is what I call a NAIL POLISH HEAVEN! \m/
ReplyDeletethose color clubs look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you got to meet Deborah AND Zoya...talk about getting the royal treatment! Also, that Essie flakie looks GORGEOUS- I cannot wait until it comes out.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'm not really looking forward to anything else, maybe its because I'm not seeing them in person but it all looks close to things I have already :/ It's still exciting to see things in advance though! Thanks =)
Oh no! Your poor feet! Get some well-deserved rest!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing worse than seeing all these gorgeous bottle pics is going to be when you post your gorgeous swatches and I end up wanting EVERYTHING.
I'm especially excited for the Color Club glitters!!!
I love layla nail polishes...they sell regular nail polish too, not only magnetic effect :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that Essie polish! Purrr! Haha! I'm digging the magnet thing, too, looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat collection is Shine of the Times coming out with? Or does anyone know when it should be out!? Need it! This definitely knocks Essie up a notch in my book.
ReplyDelete@Margaux
ReplyDeleteI put that info in my Day 1 post, you can see it here:

I might as well add it all to my wishlist now! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOMG o_O
ReplyDeleteWANT the Essie !!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG so much amazingness!!! Holiday 2011 is going to be mind blowing!!! I'm so excited!!! :D Thank you for sharing all this wonderful goodness!!!
ReplyDeletei had a fantastic time with you <3
ReplyDeleteI love the China Glaze collection!
ReplyDeleteMy mom is going to love the top row! She went banana's over Magic Attraction, so I am pretty stoked about these coming out! :D
ReplyDeleteYours are the best photos I've seen so far - thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. I must have the color club collections... Is china glaze just taking old polishes and combining them in one collection? Their stuff is getting so boring :(
ReplyDeleteYour pics are amazing! What great PR to give you a zip drive w/ images!
