FingerPaints Fall Fashionista Fall 2011 Collection Swatches

Good morning!! Today I have for you guys another Fall Collection, this one is from FingerPaints and is called the Fall Fashionista Collection! Here is a little preview for you, it's a nice big collection!

Click the read more button for full pictures and reviews of each shade!

Before I get into each shade I wanted to say the formula on every single polish was amazing, nearly all were careful one coaters. I used 2 coats for each polish in the photos below. Just wanted to get that out of the way so I don't have to say it 9 times!

Catwalk Queen is a muted golden yellow. I love this shade, I knew I would the moment I saw the promo images for this collection. Sometimes yellow can be a pain but it was not the case with this one! I think this kind of yellow could be more wearable for a lot of people!

Codur-Orange is a red toned orange. Absolutely adore this shade, and I hate my photo of it :( I don't know how many swatch photos I've taken but this by far is the hardest color I have ever had to photograph. I tried 3 separate times with every kind of light and setting on my camera. Finally I resorted to holding a black bottle and it sort of worked, this is as close to color accurate as I could get. In real life it is a little less red. Sorry for the cruddy photo you guys :(

Haute Taupe is a gorgeous brown taupe. Not unique but easily one of the best taupe's I own just for the formula.

Military Green is a muted army green. Can I just say that I love that green seems to be very in for Fall, I love green and all these variations we've gotten of it! Military Green seems to be the most greyed out and muted green we've seen this fall, it's a lot lighter than the green's we got from China Glaze, OPI and Zoya!

Purple Pinstripe is a greyed out plum. This is probably my 2nd favorite shade of the collection, I was surprised how much I liked it when I put it on. In the bottle I was just meh about it, but once I got it on I fell in love. It's such a flattering color and perfect for fall!

Raspberry Tafetta is a gorgeous berry! I'm not sure if Tagetta is supposed to be like that, my autocorrect is saying it's wrong but that's how it's spelled on the bottle and the press release. I love this shade, it's a bit darker than most berry shades, at least it seems like it to me!

Stunning Stilettos is a really gorgeous light grey! Reminds me a bit of Sally Hansen Eel Skin from their Tracy Reese Spring Collection, not sure if it is close to it but I'll check!

To-Teally Chic is a bright blue! I love this!! I feel like this is not your usual Fall shade but man, I wish it was! It's great! You probably want to double up on base coat for this one, it didn't stain on me but it seems like one that has the potential to!

Vintage Velvet is a muted teal, walks the light right between blue and green perfectly! This is my kind of teal, I love the ones where it doesn't lean too much towards green or blue! I have a feeling I will be wearing this one a lot during fall!

These are available at Sally Beauty Stores and SallyBeauty.com, they retail for $4,99 each.

  1. I love and want that blue! Any idea where I can get these in the UK? (or at least an online store that ships to the UK?)
    Thanks :)

Unfortunately, I have no idea. FingerPaints is made by Sally Beauty so I'm not sure that they would be available anywhere else :(

  4. I saw them in store and didn't look appealing, but now I love how vintage velvet and military green. Is it possible to compare and post the different fall greens. I wish I could, but I can't buy them all. :-(
    Thanks!

  7. This collection is pretty but it just doesn't do it for me. I'm more of a sparkle/shimmer kinda gal and these were just underwhelming to me.

  8. Looks like they copied a few parts from various collections with some close dupes. A lot look like Zoya shades. The colors are not new and fresh, but the price is right for those looking for cost savings. I might finally pick up one of this brand I have yet to try because I never went into a Sally's when they had a single shade of these left in anything I would wear.

  9. I love Military Green and Vintage Velvet, and Catwalk Queen looks really interesting! Definitely different from the colors I normally wear, that's for sure!

  11. Beautiful swatches!

Could you compare To-Teally Chic with Suzy Says Feng Shui? They look so close!

Trip to Sallys, on the way...

  13. I am always so amazed at how flawless and perfect your polish is. How do you get it on so perfectly close to the cuticle without getting on the skin? Is there some specific technique you use? I'm baffled!

  19. I love the orange, the taupe, stiletto....does the grey compare to either of the new OPI Touring?

  21. I absolutely love these colors! I can't wait to get some of them, a definite trip to Sally's is in order for tomorrow. I really love all of the colors, there isn't one that I don't like. The military green is beautiful. I love that it's not as bold as the OPI green. The yellow is fantastic and I love that it doesn't have glitter or shimmer imbedded in it. I really just haven't been a big glitter girl, since I was in the 5th grade :-)

  23. Love these swatches!! I already went out and bought four of them, because of you! :)
Do you know of any dupes or anything close to Raspberry Taffeta? I didn't buy this one, and am now regretting it...

  24. I love finger paints. The formula is almost always great. They're considerably cheaper and usually have cute colors. I look at buying finger paints as like 2 for 1 compared to the more pricie brands, without sacrificing good quality. I got 5 from this collection where if they were more expensive I would've only bought 2 maybe 3. The only problem is going to sally's to get them, usually means I see lots of other things I 'need' and spend at least am hour in there

  25. I've looked all over (including Sally's) for Purple Pinstripe and Raspberry Taffeta and can't find anywhere. Are these no longer available? If anyone knows where I can find them, please let me know.

    Thanks.
