Jesse's Girl JulieG Collection Swatches!

Good Morning everyone!! I'm so excited for today's post! I have the JulieG Collection from Jesse's Girl for you! If you don't know who JulieG is you need to go check out her great Youtube Channel! Julie does wonderful make up and nail tutorials! She seems so nice and bubbly and happy, I really love people like that. I was actually supposed to meet Julie and the wonderful people behind Jesse's Girl out at CosmoProf earlier this month but Vegas did a number on my stomach and I wasn't feeling well enough, I am still bummed about that :(. Anyway, back to polish, Jesse's Girl teamed up with Julie to put out a brand new 8 piece collection consisting of 6 cremes and 2 shimmers and I am so excited to show them to you!

Click the Read More button below for full sized pictures and reviews of each shade!

All Things Girly is a pink toned peach. I really enjoy the way this color looks on me, it doesn't pull too pink or too orangey! I did have some issues with the formula being thick and a little streaky then wanting to bubble, but it wasn't too noticeable. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Beauty Guru is a gorgeous dusty orange. I love this one, easily one of my favorites of the collection. It was love at first sight! I have a lot of orange polish but I really don't think I have anything like this shade! Unfortunately I had some problems with the formula on this one as well, it was also thick and streaky....but no bubbling! I used 3 coats to even it out!

Cupcake Frosting is a bright pink creme! If I'm going to wear pink it's usually going to be a shade like this! It was a little sheer going on, I used 3 coats for full opacity. The thing I really loved about this one is that it dried really shiny!

Fashion Friday is a red toned purple. This one seemed like it was going to be sheer also but it went on really well! This dried a bit squishy looking, my favorite! I used 2 coats of Fashion Friday for the photos below!

Girls Night Out is a bright blue, this is one of those shades I never tire of. I have a lot of blue but I still love a good one like this! Great formula on this one, I used 2 coats for full opacity!

Mermaids Lagoon is a fabulous teal/turquoise with a golden shimmer! LOVE SO MUCH! This is easily my favorite of the entire collection. I love that the shimmer is hidden but not really, you know what I mean? It's there and you can see it but it's not so in your face that it takes away from the gorgeous base color. I also love the name, I kind of want to watch The Little Mermaid and wear this polish haha. Great formula, I used 2 coats for full opacity!

Party Dress is an orangey red creme. This looked much more orange in Julie's youtube video but on me it only pulls red, bummer for me! Even though I wish it pulled more orange on my skin tone I still love it! It's a pretty red! The formula was great on this one, I used 2 coats!

Stiletto is a taupe brown with a subtle silver shimmer! I feel like I've seen this one a ton of times but I still really like it. It's one of those shades that is work appropriate and looks good on a variety of skin tones. I really love the shimmer in this one also, it makes it a little special! The formula was a little thick on this one but it covered really well, I used 2 coats for the photo below.

Overall I really like this collection, there is a little something for everyone here! My 2 favorites are Beauty Guru and Mermaids Lagoon!

The JulieG Collection will be available around Labor Day at Rite Aid stores and on the Jesse's Girl website. These will retail for $3.99 each. A little birdie says that these might actually be available already in a Rite Aid store near you!

  7. Cupcake Frosting and All things Girly are ones that speak to me today. I keep passing by a tub of these when I go into Rite Aide (our only place to shop in this burg of a town...) I think I need to pick up a couple of these little gem bottles and give 'em a try.

  8. I like the peach one best. I've been really into corals lately. I frankened one that's on my toes now :D. The pink, purple, and blue cremes remind me of Zoya's Summertime collection a little too much though.

I *think* the Jess'e Girl website ships international. I'm not 100% sure for polish but it's worth a look!

  17. I picked up All Things Girly and Beauty Guru the other day, and am totally in love with Beauty Guru! Even though I think the other colors are gorgeous too, I wasn't really going to get any others cuz I'm trying to save. But your swatches changed my mind! Haha, I decided that I need Stiletto and Fashion Friday! Thanks for swatching! :D

  21. 'Stiletto' looks an awful lot like Butter LONDON 'All Hail The Queen'. And when I see 'dusty orange' I think ChG 'Life Preserver'; how does it compare to 'Beauty Guru'? Thanks for the beautiful swatches! ^_^ It's a really pretty collection!

  22. @ANA

All hail the queen is much more sheer and it has holographic glitter, Stiletto doesn't that that. Unfortunately I don't own Life Preserver so I'm not sure how it compares to Beauty Guru, sorry :(

  23. Mermaid's Lagoon is beautiful! Definitely need to pick up a bottle. Thanks for the swatches!

  24. LOL, I have 'Life Preserver' but not 'AHTQ'! O_o I can't see myself buying this one just so I can dupe compare it, though.

  25. Got my hands on Mermaid's Lagoon! It totally reminds me of CG Custom Kicks but its slightly different.... both are gorgeous! They're different enough that I can justify keeping both....

  26. I love JulieG and I've been watching her videos for about a year! I'm so happy some nail-blogger reviewed her collection because it's awesome :)

  27. Hey Jen! Late question, do you have any idea how Mermaid's Lagoon compare with China Glaze Custom Kicks? I recently saw both, & like both, but don't think I need both :)

  28. I don't own that China Glaze, I'm not sure how they compare :(
