Good Morning!! Hope everyone had a good night, I did! Today I have for you guys the final duo in OPI's partnership with Serena Williams. This final Grand Slam duo is for the US Open in New York! I have to say, I'm kinda sad this is the last of these duo's. I have really loved a lot of the polishes OPI has done with Serena, these last two are no exception!
Love Is A Racket is a gorgeous cherry red with flakes of glitter sprinkled throughout. This color is so gorgeous, my pictures do it no justice. The glitter in this is great but hard to get on camera. If you like red you will love this, if you don't like red you will probably still love it! Love Is A Racket went on a little bit sheer, I needed 3 coats for full opacity.
Pros & Bronze is hard to describe it's an explosion of gold, pink, copper and bronze glitter. I'm sure there are even more shades of glitter in there but those are the most dominant ones. When I saw this at CosmoProf I think my heart skipped a beat, it is gorgeous! This polish is such a chameleon, depending on how your hand is it goes to the gold side, sometimes there is a strong pink flash or a coppery flash. I love polishes like this! Unfortunately for me, I'm not sure if this polish loves me back. It looks a little funky on my skin tone, but you know what? I don't even care, it's so gorgeous I'll wear it anyway! I used 3 coats of Pros & Bronze for the photos below.

Pros & Bronze is so gorgeous!! I love the pink and gold flashes in it.
ReplyDeleteI can see myself attempting to stamp something in black over this color :)
I NEED both of these...Hurry up and release in Canada already!
ReplyDeletePros & Bronze is such a pretty glittery shade...love the different colored glitter in it...
ReplyDeleteThe golden is cool! :D
ReplyDeleteXoXo
Very nice! This is the first of her releases that I'm tempted to buy because I like the sparkle in both colors!
ReplyDeleteThat's again a very nice combo as I like the other Serena Williams sets as well. However, wonder how Love is a Racket compares to Ali's Big Break from the Burlesque collection?
ReplyDelete@Sabine
ReplyDeleteI haven't has a chance to compare them yet but I think they are pretty similar...just different glitter!
Pros & Bronze is definitely a summer color! Very bling.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I wonder if Love is a Racket is similar to the Nicole by OPI I Love You Cherry Much. They seem somewhat similar. Thanks, Kelly

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if they are similar but I'll check it out!
@Jen Nope - Ali's Big Break is more red - and next to no flaky in it. Racket is much brighter.
ReplyDeleteBronze is pretty over Racket. I was glad there was not a shatter or another silver glitter topper in this set - OPI has released enough silver glitters for 2 years in just this one yr!!! This is a pretty duo - not too sure I will wear the Bronze that much - but Racket is up my alley big time. Bought both off eBay rather than waiting until end of Aug when my area MIGHT get these in stock.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely duo to complete the series. I dont usually buy entire OPI collections, but Serena really hit a Glam Slam with these and I'm happy to own them all.
ReplyDeleteAwesome swatches! Thanks a lot, I was waiting to see them. Love them both, and I thought I won't be wowed, haha.
ReplyDeletePros & Bronze looks really pretty! Nice swatches!
ReplyDeleteOMG your cleanup makes me hang my head in shame! You make any and every polish look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIronic, I'm having *issues* with my Grape Set Match....it's not "setting" LOL
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Pros & Bronze, just added it to my Amazon wishlist!! I am such a sucker for glitter and the more colors, the better :D
I do so envy all the beautiful nail swatches--both in your technique and photos! Thanks for being such a great resource (and source of keeping the polish companies in business *grin*)
How does Love Is A Racket compare to Ali's Big Break?
ReplyDeleteO.O I *NEED* this set!!! OMG these are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteLove is A Racket actually reminds me of Crimson Carol, from the Holiday Wishes collex. Do you have that to compare? :D
ReplyDeleteI love the second polish, but I was disappointed by the quality of the last OPI collections, so I think I'll skip it.
ReplyDeleteYou can also put one coat of Pros and Bronze on top of Love is a Racket, it looks nice :)
ReplyDeleteOOOh! That last one has me interested!
