Jesse's Girl Splatter!

Good morning!! TGIF, hope everyone is having a good day so far. I am, much better than yesterday lol! I don't think I have ever looked forward to a nice long weekend like I am right now! Today I have something fun, and super exciting to share!

I have a fab Splatter mani for you guys, I know you like them...I looooove them! This one is super exciting though because I did it from a wonderful company called Jesse's Girl Cosmetics and they have used it along with a tutorial I did for it on their website! It blows my mind that I'm on their website! For my base on this I used Jesse's Girl Spring break, the splatter is Jesse's Girl Wham Bam and Jesse's Girl Beach Baby. I really love this combo of colors!

You can check out the tutorial for this on the Jesse's Girl website here!

The Jesse's Girl polishes I used in this post are available at Rite Aid stores and the Jesse's Girl website, they retail for $2.99 eahc.

  5. Beautiful! Congrats on getting on the Jesse's Girl website. If you get a chance can you show how much polish you have on the straw just prior to splattering it on your nails?

  7. Way fab! Loving this one and the colors! Studying the tutorial again carefully. I gotta do this! And do it with a bunch of shades of teal and buff in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month - now SEPT.

ohh I think that is a great idea, that would be gorgeous! I always get comments on splatter mani's, doing one in teal is a great way to spread awareness for Ovarian Cancer when people ask about your nails!

It's funny you say that, I had someone ask me if it was stamping a few days ago! I think that's why this combo works so well, you can't tell what it is at first!

Thanks Steph! I really love these shades together too, I was worried at first when I lined the bottles up next to each other but they really mesh well!

  20. Jen, I just re-read your tutorial on the splatter manis. I just have one question: Do you use the straw full size or do you cut them up into 2 - 3 pieces?

  21. @Brenda L.

I cut my straws in half, cutting them in thirds would definitely work also since you're using such a small piece of the straw to dip in the polish!

Thanks for your advice Jen! =) When I saw your first splatter mani (white background with neon splatter), I had cut my straw into thirds and I blew with short, quick puffs as suggested in your tutorial. My manicure looked awful! =( Maybe it was the amount of polish (not enough or too much)? I will have to attempt a splatter mani again. Maybe after getting all the CND effects. I really LOVED that one!

If you're still having issues I would try a skinnier straw, I think that might help!
