Dark Amethyst is a dark jewel toned purple. I guess jewel tones are the trend for Fall, I don't really follow trends but I really enjoy this one since the shades are gorgeous! I love this one because it's a nice dark purple but not so dark that it looks black. The formula was pretty typical of any CND creme polish....amazing. I used 1 coat for the photos below!
Midnight Sapphire is a dark jewel toned blue. I really like this one too, not as much as the purple but I'm glad I bought it! Again amazing formula on this one, I only used 1 coat for this polish also!
Sheer 24K Sparkle is the effect part of this look. It's pretty much amazing! I adore CND Effects and own most of them, I've always been surprised that they haven't already done some kind of flake glitter effect. They finally did one and it's a gorgeous gold! It pairs really well with both Midnight Sapphire and Dark Amethyst! I need to wear this one over more colors! I have 1 coat of Sheer 24K Sparkle over each of the 2 base polishes below. The only thing I want from this is maybe for it to be a little less dense, as much as I love the gold flakes I feel like they cover too much of the base color.

ReplyDeleteYour swatches of these are fabolous! I am still undecided about ordering them - they are pretty, and the quality of cremes is stunning, but I am not sure if the Effect is to dense or not.

ReplyDeleteLove it, but I prefer the NUBAR 2010, its perfect and IMO turns the polish into better colors than this brand does....try the NUBAR people, you will not regret it, can we post pics on here?? I can show you what I did with the OPI Touring Collection, I used the Green Sushi Roll, and then did the Nubar over it, got tons of compliments.
ReplyDeleteYou know- I'm trying to be on a no buy- but my one rule is I can buy purple since I'm lacking in that color. It's too easy when you leave the link right to the store! So yes I just ordered this set! Actually, I have been eyeing the midnight sapphire for a while now- am not a fan of gold or flakies so that will just be in a future giveaway- but these two colors are beautiful.
