Good morning, happy Monday! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend, mine was fun! I ended up going to see a band called The Sounds last night. I love them, Maja (their singer) is so badass haha! Today I have for you guys the 4 gorgeous glitters Nicole by OPI is putting out of the Holidays! They are stunning! Click the read more button below for a ton of pictures of these beauties!
Glitter In My Stocking is a mix of Gold, Red and Silver glitter. The most dominant glitter is gold, I really love how the red sparkles here. This reminds me a lot of OPI Gift Of Gold, which was one of the Ulta Exclusives from Holiday 2010...I need to bust that polish out and do a comparison! The formula was good, the glitter was pretty dense so it was really easy to get opaque. I used 2 coats for the photos below, if you tend to do thinner coats you might need 3. This dried a bit dull, I used a top coat for the photos!

My Sleigh's In The Shop is Magenta and Silver glitter. The magenta is so overpowering in this that you almost can't tell there is silver in there also out in the sun. I really love this one, it's festive but it doesn't feel like a run of the mill holiday polish. The formula again was good, easy coverage in 2 coats. This one also dried a little dull.

Orna-ment For Each Other is Red and Gold glitter! I really love the red glitter in this one, in the shade it took on an orangey red tone...very pretty! Out of all 4 glitters Nicole by OPI is putting out this one is my personal favorite. It makes me want to go buy some Poinsettias haha! Formula again, was wonderful. I used 2 coats for the photos below. This one also dried a little dull.

Snow-Man Of My Dreams is packed with a ton of different colors of glitter...blue, silver, gold/yellow, orange, pink and green. There are probably other colors thrown in there also but those are the ones that stand out! The blue glitter in this is very dominant, but you can really see all those colors peeking out in the shade and in low light. I think this one is the most interesting of the 4, I really love the mix of glitter. The formula on Snow-Man was not as great as the other three polishes. It was a bit more sheer, it did look okay at 2 coats but I used 3 for full opacity.

Overall this collection is a major win, all 4 glitters are stunning. My favorite is Orna-ment For Each Other but really, if you like glitter (like I do) you *need* all 4 lol.
These limited edition Holiday Glitters will be available November 2011 for $7.99 each in the U.S. at HEB, Sears, Stage Stores, select Target locations, Target.com, and ULTA. In Canada, lacquers will be retailed for $10.99 each in Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaw and Zellers.
If you have a Target near you these might already be out. I saw them on an end cap at my local Target last week!

Wow, these are GORGEOUS. My favorites are definitely Glitter In My Stocking and Orna-ment For Each Other (I usually don't even go for reds, but I LOVE the gold peeking out in that one).
ReplyDeletein looooooooooooooooove with this collection!!!
ReplyDeleteAre beautifull!! :D XoXo
ReplyDeleteAmazing! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy cuticles hurt just thinking about you taking that glitter off....
ReplyDeleteOHHH my goodness! I absolutely need ALL of these!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThese all look lovely! Very festive!
ReplyDeleteAll of these look awesome! I especially want Glitter In My Stocking!
ReplyDeleteI agree! That one is so gorgeous, I'm usually not a gold kind of girl but it's fab!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them!
ReplyDeletelol! I saw them at Target last week and said the exact same thing to myself
ReplyDeleteIt actually wasn't too horrible. Not as bad a big chunky glitter! Tin foil is my best friend!
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeletethank you ♥
ReplyDeleteme too! I'm glad I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big red kind girl either but red glitter is so stunning! Orna-ment... is even better in real life!
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing! I can't wait to find these!
ReplyDeletewow..great colors..very beautiful glitters!!!wow wow wow!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThx for sharing....will you be doing a post with just one coat? I'm wondering if the glitter is really thick or if one coat would be a nice glitter topcoat?
ReplyDeleteI wasn't planning on showing them like that, sorry. They are pretty dense, I think the only one that might work for layering is Snow-Man of my Dreams if you did a really thin coat.
ReplyDeleteI love your reaction ♥
ReplyDeleteHope you can find them soon! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow man of my dreams looks like an exact dupe for OPI Simmer and Shimmer from the Burlesque collection. Great post as always.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to pull that one and do a comparison!
ReplyDeleteI adore both Orna-ment For Each Other & Glitter in My Stocking. Curious how much better coverage (other than the blue one) these seem to have than the glitters from OPI in the Muppets Collection??? Assuming from your saying these were a 2 coat for your photos that these DO have far better coverage than the Muppet ones that really are thin but for the pink and the blue ones. BTW - the blue one from Muppets I found is almost exactly the same color (sans a little of the silver out of it) as the Revlon Mosaic blue I think the name is from the recent Revlon 3 glitter collection (and one nude base). Super shots!
ReplyDeleteI'm really not sure about the coverage of the Muppet's glitter since I don't have those yet. Good to know about the blue glitter!!
ReplyDeleteThe last 2 are my favorites!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate that these are not for sale here in the Netherlands.. I would love to own those.
ReplyDeleteohhhh pretties! *adds to wishlist*
ReplyDeleteDefinitely going to get My Sleigh's in the Shop!
ReplyDeleteHow were they when it came to removal? X
It wasn't too horrible. I used the foil method, I think that helped a lot!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm you already know I LOVE the last one. Stunning swatches and great pictures!
ReplyDeletethank you :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome swatches! I saw these at Target yesterday but the only one I was really interested in was Snow-Man Of My Dreams. But the only thing I'm wondering is how it compares to OPI Simmer and Shimmer, which I already own. I just want to make sure before I buy it.
ReplyDeleteClearly I need all the glitters. These are my kind of Holiday Collections!
ReplyDeleteIt's on my list to compare...just need to find more hours in the day to actually do it :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty
ReplyDeleteThat is some pretty fantastic looking glitter!
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches as always! I love the gold one and the blue one. So pretty:)
ReplyDeleteI think the one I want most is Snowman of my dreams. *sigh* :) I like how it changes sliver or blue. Awesome swatches
ReplyDeleteOMG Snow-Man of my Dreams!!! *swoons* LOVE these! Definitely going to nab these the moment I see them! <3 Beautiful swatches! <3
ReplyDeleteI just sent the list to my hubby for when he goes to Target this week ;) PRETTY GLITTERS....they suck me in every time!!
ReplyDeleteHoly Glitter! These are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing! I was also wondering if you were going to do a full review of the Muppets collection?
ReplyDeleteI definitely will be as soon as I get them!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post, I went to Target to get dinner makings. They had this collection and I promptly picked up the gold glitter! I mean wowza! Also, they had these interesting 2 packs for $10, but not in these shades.
ReplyDeleteI saw those two packs also! I didn't buy either of them but I might go back for them!
ReplyDeletei bought the blue one today at target! it was in the normal display but none of the other holiday ones were there.
ReplyDeleteweird that the blue was in the main display. At my Target the holiday glitters were at the bottom of an end cap. The end cap was all holiday nail stuff. It had the Sally Hansen Salon Effects, Essie's Cocktail Bling Collection, Sally Hansen Insta Dri's and some other Nicole by OPI polishes!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all 4 of those! Too bad I don't have any of those stores nearby!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard All Time Low's song "Guts" feat. Maja? It's really good! I'm so jealous of your concert goings-I live in a small town and have to take trips to go to shows!
I haven't heard that song! I'll have to check it out! The one good thing about where I life is that the music scene is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really want Orna-Ment For Each Other. I found this display at my Target today but I can't bring myself to pay $7 for a bottle of polish, especially since I've already spent a ton of money on nail polish and makeup this month. ;_;
