Good morning guys, hope you all have a great weekend. I did! The concert on Saturday was awesome! Today I have for you guys Nubar's Fall Collection, the Polished Chic Collection. I haven't seen too much about these. I happened across them in my local supply shop the other day and fell in love with the colors! Nubar always does really amazing creme polishes and I can't say no to them haha!
For full pictures and reviews of each shade click the Read More link below.
Beguilling Carmine is a dark brick red creme. I thought this was more of a blood red until I got outside and could really see the color, it's got a nice brown tone to it. I love reds like this, I always feel kind of weird when I wear a bright red...ones like this make me more comfortable (I know, I'm weird).
Classic Camel is a beigey yellow toned nude shade. I don't think this does any favors on my skin tone but I actually really like it. It reminds me of the shades Zoya put out with the Touch collection just without the shimmer.
Edgy Umber is a dark smokey brown. Inside this looked a bit more grey which I loved! I adore shades like this. I know some people don't like browns but lucky me, I am not one of those people. I love browns so this is automatically one of my favorites from the collection!
Elegant Indigo is duochrome-y blue/purple glitter is a dark blackened blue base. This was so promising in the bottle, it looked like it would be a fantastic duochrome. Sadly that didn't translate onto the nail very well. I could see it a little bit in the shade, which you can see if you look really hard at the 3rd picture below lol. I really love this polish even if the duochrome is very very hard to see, it's gorgeous!
Faded Putty is an off white creme...it has a little hint of grey. I can't put my finger on this one...sometimes I suck at describing colors (sorry). I really like this, it made me look tan!
Mod Agua/Aqua is a pale dusty turquoise. This is the polish that caught my eye in this collection. These were all mixed in with the core colors at the place I buy Nubar and if not for this polish I probably would have looked over all of these. Also, I'm not sure if it's called Mod Aqua or Mod Agua. My bottle says Agua but the Nubar website says Aqua. This one is a bit dustier looking in person than my pictures look.
Stylish Peacock is a dusty teal. This one is pretty but I feel like I have this shade many times over. I really only bought this because I like having whole collections...it's the hoarder inside me.
Vogue Vert is a light minty almost sage green. I bet you guys will be shocked to hear that this....Vogue Vert is my favorite from the collection, I have such a thing for green polish. I really love this one because it didn't give me lobster hands!
Overall this collection was great, the formula on every polish was fantastic and opaque in 2 coats. A few of these feel done but I it doesn't bother me too much! They all dried nice and shiny except for Elegant Indigo which dried a little dull and flat looking.
The Polished Chic Collection is available now for $7.50 a bottle on Nubar's website.
