Today I have 2 polishes to show you guys! Recently Sally Beauty put out a small holiday collection from Color Club, it's 6 scented polishes. I ended up buying these 2...the others seemed like things I already had so I passed on them. If you have a Sally's near you I suggest you try to find these ASAP that display at mine was TINY!
Sugar Plum Yum is purple hex glitter and small green glitter in a clear base. I'm not sure what the scent is suppose to be here, it just smells fruity to me. I love this combo, it's like Barney exploded on my nails haha! The formula was a bit tricky, it got bunched up in some spots but it doesn't really bother me too much. I used 1 coat of Sugar Plum Yum over Revlon Aloof for the photos below. I do have a top coat over the glitter in these pictures!

Very Merry Berry is magenta hex glitter and small bright blue glitter in a clear base. I'm not sure what his is supposed to smell like either...it also just smells fruity to me. This one was a lot easier for me to apply, it went on pretty evenly! I used 1 coat of Very Merry Berry over BB Couture Feathered Vixen for the photos below. I did use a top coat, it needed it...if you want either of these smooth you will need a couple coats of top coat!

Both polishes are available now at Sally Beauty Supply, the collection they are in is exclusive to Sally's so you won't be able to find it anywhere else. I'm not sure how much these were, I'm thinking around $4 a bottle (I can't remember, so sorry!)

Oh wow, both of these polishes are so gorgeous! And truck food sounds absolutely incredible. I think the best meal I've ever had (may be slightly exaggerating here) was from a food vendor on the streets of New York haha
ReplyDeleteThey're both amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting orna-mint. You are right, I don't even think there was a display at my Sally's
ReplyDeleteI bought it because the silver hex glitters looked good
wow the first mani literally looks like candied sprinkles on your nails i love it!
ReplyDeleteI got Sugar Plum Yum, too. It smells so good I've painted it on my cell phone. :) And I got the green one, Kiss Me Mistletoe, that smells like pine trees - it's awesome.
ReplyDeleteVery Merry Berry looks great over the purple!
ReplyDeleteI love them!
ReplyDeleteI grabbed Sugar Plum last week but haven't used it yet. I think I might try it next week. How was the scent? Was it WAY fruity? Super strong?
ReplyDeleteLOVE these looks!!

I tried merry berry over funkey.dunky by opi,looks the same.as yours :)
ReplyDeleteI liked the scents in these ones, they weren't overpowering or super strong...they were just right lol
ReplyDeleteare the hex glitters curly? they appear to be curved or something?
ReplyDeletethey have a little curve to them but not as badly as the ones from the backstage pass collection
ReplyDeleteOh yum! I need to get these polishes, especially the Sugar Plum Yum. Hope I can find someone shipping to the UK!
ReplyDeletewow! soooo much glitter this holiday season! my brain is going to explode!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE glitter usually but I'm not feeling these much :(
ReplyDeleteI got these a while ago at Sally's and I think I got mine for $4.99. I actually love these!! I put a couple good coats (nearly opaque) of very merry berry over OPI Grape Set Match and it looked fantastic!! I think the VMB is like the chunky glitter version of OPI's GSM shimmer. And as far as Sugar Plum Yum goes, I but two thin-ish (so it was spotty) coats over black and it looked great! These do have a somewhat tricky formula but I love glitter and these are no exception. I kind of like the imperfect application of these because it adds some texture and interest to your nails. And the smells are "just fruity" like you said, but not too bad. I got the polishes for the glitter anyway, so I really didn't care how they smelled as long as it didn't give me a headache! haha.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty especially the Sugar Plum Yum, it looks like a party on your hands.
ReplyDeleteOooooo! I love Sugar Plum Yum over Aloof! It really pops over white! :D Love both of these fun layerings! <3
