Jessica Hologram Chic: Disco Diva

Happy Saturday! Today I have an amazing linear holo to show you! The Hologram Chic duo is brand new and limited edition from Jessica Cosmetics, it comes with an Aqua Base coat called Retro Revival and a gorgeous silver linear holo called Disco Diva. I saw this in the Jessica Cosmetic booth back at Cosmoprof in July/August and was unsure if it would be awesome or not. Even when I got it in the mail yesterday I was still on the fence, it looks like a dud in the bottle (which you can see in my pictures). Good news, once you get it on  HOLY HOLO! I would say this is just as good as the new version of Nfu Oh 61, not quite as holo as something like Gosh Holographic but I kind of like this more because the formula was better than either of those. I didn't have issues with balding on dragging while I was applying Disco Diva, not sure if that's because I used Retro Revival under it or not. I did use a very light touch when applying it, that might have also helped. Disco Diva is nice and opaque, I only needed 2 coats for full coverage. I did not use a top coat for the photos, it actually says on the box not to, haha!

Enough words, onto pictures. This is pretty picture heavy since I loved too many of them to not post them! As with most holos the effect is stronger in real life than in pictures! I've put everything after the first picture under a cut, I promise its worth clicking read more!

Here is what the set looks like in case anyone was wondering!

The Hologram Chic set is available now, I bought mine on the Jessica Cosmetics website. It retails for $24, not too bad considering you are getting an awesome full sized holo and the aqua base coat. It looks like they only ship within the USA and Canada. I'm not sure if Disco Diva will be available individually or not, right now you can only buy it in the set.

  20. I put this on last night and it has been difficult to not stare at my nails! When I glance down at my fingers (which of course always sport polish) I involuntarily do a double take - the effect is THAT stunning. I, too, read the box and didn't use top coat. I'll be curious about its wear as I don't do a daily mani. Thank you for reviewing this!

  21. Perhaps too thick an application? Just guessing. The other possibility is that you used a top coat?
