Nails Inc. Houses of Parliament

Good morning guys! Today I finally have one of the Nails Inc. magnetic polishes to show you! I picked this up at Sephora during the VIB sale they recently had. This one is called Houses of Parliament, it's a gorgeous purple magnetic polish! I LOVE magnetic polish, I wish pictures could capture how awesome it really is...it makes your nails look 3D! I hope magnetic polish is like the new crack polish so that every company will do it, especially the ones that make inexpensive polish...I love it but my wallet doesn't :( haha! The formula on this was really great, it's nice and opaque and goes on so smoothly! I used 2 coats for the photos below.

If you have never used or seen magnetic polish it's super easy to use. I put on 1 coat, let it dry then put on another coat. Immediately after painting the second coat on a nail I held the magnet over it for about 15 seconds. Super easy and fast!

Also, I wanted to mention....I love the magnet Nails Inc. is using on their magnetic polish. It is by far the most user friendly of the 4 brands I have tried (Layla, LCN & Essence are the other 3). It has a lip that you put where your cuticle is so you don't end up hitting your nail with the magnet. I put a picture of it at the end of the post so you can see what I'm talking about.

Nails Inc. magnetic polishes are available on Sephora.com and in Sephora stores, they are pricey at $16 each but I really love them! If you can only get one brand of magnetic polish I'd pick this one solely because of how easy the magnet is to use.

  2. That is so cool! It seems like magnet polishes are becoming the new crackles. I think they're really interesting and I hope to get some in the future.

  3. This is exactly what I'm wearing on my nails right now. Only thing is the effect wasn't as strong on some of the nails because I didn't use as much polish (I'm used to thin coats) for the 2nd coat. But that's just user error and I love it! Even the boyfriend approves and I usually just get a meh from hm.

  5. Very cool! Purple is a good color on you.
What does the painted nail look like before you use the magnet? is it solid metallic, like the lighter parts of the nails in the photos above?

  6. yep, just like a regular purple metallic polish!

  7. Thanks for the feedback on the ease of use with the magnet. I'd get this then if I'm interested in magnetic polishes. Nice review!

  8. I *almost* bought the silver one yesterday at Sephora as I don't have any magnetic polishes yet, but the price tag sets me off a bit.  I've seen the Layla ones at my Fred Meyer, but they are almost the same price!  I will own one one day!

  11. I love Houses of Parliament. I wore it a few weeks ago and I think the brush and formula beats out Layla's.

  14. I buy a lot of polishes overseas because I'm never satisfied with italian brands, but I have to say that I'm quite happy with italian magnetic polishes (Layla and Deborah Milano). So I think I'll skip this one, even if it's really cute and magnetic effect is really strong! :)

  16. Further to Charlie's comment about 17 Magnetic Nails, you can get them on Boots.com and I think they do ship internationally.  They are made by the same people that make the ones for Nails Inc and Superdrug  FashionistA range (another UK drugstore)

  20. I bought this one during the sale also and like you I really hope that some less expensive versions come out somewhere. I've only tried it on one nail so far but I couldn't stop staring at the nail I had it on; it really does look 3-D. So cool!

  21. I got the silverish color (can't remember the name right now!) today. Pricey but I was addicted after just trying it on one nail. I'm wearing it on my thumbs and ring fingers with Essie Trophy Wife on the other fingers. It looks awesome!

  22. I have a Layla in Purple and just ordered a Nails Inc in the teal (Trafalgar Square I think?) I really wanted a Nails Inc one for the magnet LOL. I would love to get one of the LCN magnets (the star design).

  23. I bought this the day it came out at Sephora, but even after at least 5 tries, I could not for the life of me get the cool 3D effect, it would always just give me one big blob. I ended up returning it, but after seeing all the great reviews about it I'm starting to think I just got a bad bottle
