Wet Paint Bitten Collection Swatches

Good morning, happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! I shopped a little yesterday for the first time in a long time! I got a bunch of new jeans and a pair of boots. I can never find boots I really like, I ended up with a flat boot with lots of buckles. For some reason I'm really loving shoes with buckles right now...weird!

Anyway, today I have a new to me brand called Wet Paint to show you! I heard about them a long time ago when they had a sale on one of those designer stuff for cheap sites, it was either Hautelook or Gilt. I just finally got around to trying their polishes out and I can't believe I waited so long. Wet Paint is pretty cool with what they are doing. Each collection comes with a bunch of different polishes (5 and a top coat in the Bitten Collection), then you can layer them to create a bunch of different looks. There is even suggested layering combos, which is what I'm going to show you guys today.

Click the Read More button below the picture for the layering combos and pictures of each shade!

Fetish is a bright red creme. This went on and dried shiny like a jelly but it's more opaque. You can wear this on it's own and it's also the base for some great layering combos I have below. Formula wise was great, I used 2 coats for the photo below.

Wet Paint had 3 suggestions for how to layer over Fetish.

A. 1 coat Fetish topped with 2 coats of Lewd. Lewd is a very very sheer dark purple. It makes for a nice vampy red!

B. 1 coat Fetish with 1 coat Lewd topped with 1 coat Moonstone. Moonstone is a sheer taupe-y grey. I really like this combo also!
C. 1 coat Fetish with 1 coat Lewd topped with 1 coat Onyx. Onyx is a sheer black jelly. I like this one also, it's pretty much as vampy of red as you can get!
D. 1 coat Fetish 2 coats of Lewd, same as nail "A"

Numb is a bright shimmery blue, I actually really love this on it's own! It's nice and bright and almost opaque at 1 coat! I used 1 coat for the photos below and you can see a little bit of visible nail line but in person you really couldn't see that.

Below is the layering Wet Paint suggested with Numb as a base.

A. 1 coat Numb with 2 coats Lewd. This one turns into a gorgeous blurple! It has a lot of depth to it!
B. 1 coat Numb with 1 coat Lewd topped with 1 coat Moonstone. This is my favorite out of any combo, it turns into a really dark greyed out periwinkle shade. yum!
C. 1 coat Numb with 1 coat Lewd topped with 1 coat Onyx. This combo turns into a gorgeous blackend blurple!
D. 1 coat Numb 2 coats Lewd. This is the same as nail "A"

Moonstone on it's own is a gorgeous squisky taupe grey/brown jelly. Love! I wore this on it's own for a few days! It's so squishy and perfect! I needed 3 coats for full opacity but it went on so easily!

Onyx is a black jelly. I actually don't think I have a black jelly so this is a welcome addition to my stash! I used 3 coats to get it fully opaque.

I didn't swatch Lewd on it's own, it was very very sheer and just didn't work that way. It's definitely best for layering over the other shades. Overall I really like these, I like that there are different options with only 5 polishes. This is a great set for winter!

Wet Paint is available on their official website. Each Collection retails for $29.99. I actually don't see this particular set on their site anywhere, I'm not sure if/when it will be added :( I have heard of a few people finding the collections at Urban Outfitters. I checked the stores near me and wasn't lucky enough to find any but it's worth checking if you have an Urban Outfitters near you!

  4. So cool!  I am especially loving the layerings over Numb!  Especially 1 coat Numb/2 coats Lewd!  It's so glow-y!  :D  Definitely going to keep my eye out for these next time I stop by Urban Outfitters.  Speaking of jeans...oh man, I hate jeans shopping so much and I need a new pair badly.  It's so hard to find a pair that suits me!  I'm happy to hear you found some!  :D

  5. A squishy taupe and a squishy black? I love. Love your swatches, as always <3 Also I'm jealous of your boots... the buckles are kickass and I am sad that cool boots don't come in my stupid size.
