Color Club Holiday 2011 Beyond The Mistletoe Collection Swatches!

Good morning guys! Happy Wednesday! I am so excited for tonight, the Grilled Cheese Truck is in town tonight...YUM! I'm hoping the line isn't like 3 hours long time it was last time they were here, if it is I don't think i'll wait this time haha!

Today I have a glitter-tastic collection to show you guys, it's the Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe Collection! I have been looking forward to these since I saw them in Color Club's booth at Cosmoprof back in July. They are even better than I remember, they are all gorgeous and absolutely packed with glitter! Pictures and reviews of each shade are after the cut!

Beyond The Mistletoe  is a mix of light blue toned green glitter and holo glitter. This is one so pretty, the holo glitter is incredibly eye catching! Formula wise is was good, a little sheer but it was nice and opaque at 3 coats!

Candy Cane is light pink glitter and holo glitter. The holo glitter in this one is a little bit more shy, this isn't my favorite but it's very pretty! The formula on this one was much like for last, sheer but good at 3 coats!

Gingerbread is gold and holo glitter. This is an unexpected favorite, if you've read my blog for a while you probably know that I don't usually like gold. Give me a gold mixed with a ton of holo glitter and I'm a fan. I really like the shade of gold in this one, it's on the darker side and not super yellow so it feels more wearable with my skintone. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Holiday Splendor is green and holo glitter in a squishy green jelly base. This is my absolute favorite, this one is SO glittery and amazing. This picture does not do it justice, if you want to see just how great this is check out the video at the end of the post. The formula on this one was the best of the bunch, it was opaque 2 coats because of the pretty green base color!

Jingle Jangle is purple, blue and holo glitter. The holo glitter in this one didn't want to come out, I think the purple and blue glitter ate it up. I do like this one but it's not my favorite of the bunch, I wanted more holo to show! I used 3 coats for the photo below.

Sugarplum Fairy is a mix of silver and holo glitter. This was the first one I swatched and my eyes almost popped out of my head when I stepped outside. The holo glitter in this sucker is like whoa, my camera couldn't even handle it! This was a bit more opaque than the other, I only needed 2 coats for full opacity.

I decided to do another video for you guys, glitters are so hard to photo...the pictures never do them justice! I feel like you can see the sparkly-ness better this way. Also, since you guys liked it last time I added the cheering again lol! It makes me smile :)

The Beyond The Mistletoe Collection is available now, most of the etailers have it (Nailsupplies.us, Victorias Nail Supply, Head2Toe). I've also seen this collection in store both at Ross and Bed, Bath & Beyond (only BB&B's with an expanded beauty section will carry these)

damn, sorry about the previous comm, you might want to delete it (I have a problem with Disqus, I log in with Google and it keeps showing up my  personal email address instead of my blog google mail address..). So I was saying, I love Sugarplum Fairy and Gingerbread and I'm so glad I caved in and bought them. SP F is really bling but so pretty, and Gingerbread warm dark shade is really nice on my skin too!

  9. I've never seen anything like sugarplum fairy! I haven't ever tried color club polishes before this but hey, when's a better time then when they come out with a shade that I really want, lol! The thing that's even better is that it's opaque and super holographic :)

  18. I love this collection so much. It is great even for the non-Christmas season. My mother, who doesn't even like glitter polishes, even fell in love with it. We had to drive to 3 different Ross stores to find it, but find it we did - along with Back Stage Pass. So worth the hunt!

Also, awesome job catching the holo finish on these polishes. Do you have a trick? I can never get holos to swatch right in photos.

  24. Wow, these are all really great! I can't even choose a favorite... I'm really loving Jingle Jangle though, and I normally don't favor blues! Hm... Maybe have to get in on these, I can't resist glitters!

  25. I bought this collection and I love how they look when each and every polish is on my hands however I find the formulas SO gloopy. I guess its the price to pay for holo glitter though! Holiday Splendor is hands down my favourite, I wish they all had tinted bases!

  26. I actually bought holiday Splendor out of this collection and at the same time bought Essie luxffects shine of the times. So curious me thought 'What would it look like if I were to used Shine of the times over Holiday Splendor. IT LOOKED AMAZING! Seriously try it. It gives this great subtle gold shimmer to it and looks fabulous. I got so many complements on it and it would be a great St-Patricks day mani =D

  29. Thanks so much for making the video, I love the clapping, these polishes really deserved it. I can hardly stand the waiting game until these are in my hot little hands! Your video is helping to tide me over on holo overload. I love that  you spend just enough time shining them in the sunlight to make them look luscious! TY!
