Girly Bits Nail Polish Swatches!

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend, mine was good! I can't believe that Christmas is so soon! I finally got around to finishing up my Christmas shopping this weekend, this year is the first time in a few years that I haven't just given people gift cards! Anyway, today I have some awesome polishes to show you guys. If you follow the blog Girly Bits you have definetely heard of these...or maybe you have seen them on other blogs! Pam from Girly Bits just recently launched her own line of polishes, I feel like she has been keeping us all updated on these forever so I was excited to get them and try them out! I really love what Pam is doing, these polishes are seriously gorgeous! I'll have a link to where you can buy them at the bottom of the post!

I have put the majority of this post under a cut, it's worth clicking read more...I promise!!

Shift Happens is multichromatic shimmer that flashes green, yellow, red and orange in a sheer red base. This instantly reminded me of Clarins 230 in the bottle, on the nail it also resembles it! I used 1 coat of Shift Happens over Cult Nails Blackout for the photos below. I got so many compliments on this mani, I really love it! I don't see this one listed on Pam's site to order, as far as I know it is part of an upcoming collection so I guess this is a little preview!  It is absolutely stunning and trust me, you need it when Pam releases it!

Sunlight/Lightbox

January Morning is a frosty white base with blue, pink and green shimmer. The white is sheer, I think you could probably build it up though. I used 1 coat over Cult Nails Tied Up for the photos below. It reminds me a bit of Essie's Pure Pearlfection that came out with the Luxeffects collection but in a more opaque base. There is a really touching story behind this on Pam's blog here, she also shows it over white and it looks lovely that way!

Razzle Dazzle is a magenta/pink jelly packed pink, purple and holographic glitter. Razzle Dazzle is part of the Girly Bits Seas The Day Collection for Fall 2011. This was so sparkly and delicious looking, the holo actually shows, I feel like I will be grabbing for this one a lot during the summer! Formula wise it was nice, not too thick or too sheer. I did end up using 3 coats but I was almost good with 2!

Sailor's Delight is a squishy orange yellow with gold microglitter. I am such a sucker for orange polish like this, I can't even tell you how many orange with a golden shimmer polishes I own...it's a lot. This is different than any of the ones I have though! It was a bit sheer, I needed 3 coats for full opacity. If you don't mind visible nail line 2 coats is perfect!

Stormy Skies is a blue toned grey with a greenish silver microglitter. I wish I could have captured how great the glitter is in this a little better, it's like that super small and amazing glitter BB Couture likes to use! The formula was great on this one, I used 2 coats for the photos below. It did dry a little bit gritty, top coat fixed that but on a couple nails you could still see the grit...you can see it a little bit below. It doesn't bother me though, I think I only notice it because I'm a freak lol!

Street Magic is another multichrome stunner! It flashes green, gold and a rusty orangey red in a sheer greenish base. This one is so much better than my pictures are making it out to be, for some reason my camera only wanted to capture the green :( If you like Shift Happens you will love this too! I used 1 coat of Street Magic over Cult Nails Mind Control for the photos below.

Sun...look at that shimmer!!!

You can purchase Girly Bits polishes on Pam's blog located here. Right now you can buy mini bottles like the ones I have in the photos for $6 each or full sized 15ml bottles for $10! I think these are worth it, not only are they made by someone in our little community but they are gorgeous! I really can't wait to see what Pam comes up with in 2012, if these first polishes are any indication I think my head my explode from the level of awesomness!

  25. I just ordered Street Magic and Ocean (drawing a blank right now). They are gorgeous! I will be back for Shift Happens when she releases it--it is pretty close to Clarins 230, but Clarins has more red to it. It's got the same depth though! Thanks for the lemmings ;) And what a cute name for the company!
