Nails Inc Trafalgar Square

Good morning, TGIF! Anyone have fun plans this weekend? I do! Tomorrow night I'm going to see a band called Sugarcult, they haven't played around here in a while. They used to do a yearly holiday show in Anaheim but the last one a couple years ago got cancelled and since then...nada. Anyway, I'm excited! They are playing their Start Static album all the way though, it's one of my favorite albums ever!

Today I have another Nails Inc magnetic polish to show you guys, this is the gunmetal grey one called Trafalgar Square. This polish was stunning, the magnetic effect in this one seemed a lot stronger than in the other magnetic polishes I've tried. I wish it would photograph better, it's so 3-d in person and in pictures it looks so flat and not exciting :( The formula was great, these are nice an opaque, I almost got away with 1 coat but ended up doing a thin 2nd coat and then using the magnet to create the effect.

Nails Inc magnetic polish retails for $16 a bottle and is available in the US at Sephora stores and on Sephora.com. Did you guys all see that China Glaze is going to be doing magnetic polishes next year? I might have done a little happy dance when I saw it mentioned on another blog!

  4. This gunmetal grey is something really gorgeous and charming! I do believe in you about the 3D effect but we can imagine how it is. I've just loved it!

!! Sugarcult! Goodness, I LOVED them when I was a teenager. Do they still play "Stuck in America" at their shows? That and "Bouncing Off the Walls" are my favorites.
Also, what position did you hold the magnet to your nail? I have a Layla Magneffect polish, but didn't get nearly as many stripes as you did. Gorgeous!

  6. I have Houses of Parliament and Whitehall from the Nails Inc. magnetics, tried them just once and they were awful!  Your nails are how I wanted mine to turn out, haha.  I keep seeing people get awesome results with them so of course I'll try again.  My first impression wasn't too good, though.  If nothing else I'll have my Laylas and LCNs to keep me happy.

  7. You really have to do one nail at a time and bee fast about it to get it to work that well. My first time looked like crap to me but the second time came out great, just like her nails.

  8. You might need to hold the magnet closer to your nail or hold it there longer!

  9. Last time I saw them they still played those! The Nails Inc magnets have a little lip kind of thing that you hold at your cuticle that helps put the magnet exactly where it needs to go, it makes it much easier to use than Layla!

  13. Yeah, I was doing one at a time, like I said these aren't my first magnetics and I don't have issues with the others.  I'm going to give 'em another try, though.  ^-^

  15. I have this in teal AND I found Big Ben (gold) on an auction site ;) I also have a Layla in purple. I purposely wanted to get the Nails inc for the removeable magnet cap to use on all of them.

Can't WAIT for the CG magnets! They have a star magnet!!!

  16. The Nails Inc color choices are gorgeous, I wish I could get more, but it does not retail where I live. I can't wait for China Glaze's Magnetics to come out though, they look like they will have some pretty cool magnet patterns. :D
