Formula wise, like I said...it's sheer, better for layering unless you like wearing sheer polishes. The glitter is pretty sparse and I did find myself having to try and place it where I wanted it. Unfortunately I can't do an actual comparison to Glitter In The Air since I sent it off to a more loving home but looking back at my photos I'd say this is as close as you can get dupe wise. Price wise this was almost $15 cheaper than the Deborah Lippmann version!
I found this at Bed, Bath & Beyond...I have yet to see it at any drugstores (or anywhere else that sells Revlon). Only the BB&B stores with an "expanded cosmetics" section is going to carry this, those stores are few and far between unfortunately (at least around here). You can search on the Bed, Bath & Beyond website to see if any stores around you have it. Hopefully this will start showing up everywhere soon!

this is sooooo nice! :)
ReplyDeleteI hadn't actually liked this polish (or DL's version) until seeing your swatches!! I think I might have to have this :) Lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI want this one so much!! I just couldn't bring myself to buy the DL version for $18 plus tax. Yikes!
ReplyDelete-Ashesela
Ooo, it *is* pretty. I'll probably never find it locally, though.
ReplyDeleteI like it, you layered it just the way I did with Glitter in the Air. Doesn't it remind you of easter eggs somehow? As in... SPRING GET HERE SOON!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing your twit pic I went to my BB&B (I work there a few nights a week) and they didn't have this color but a pink. I didn't layer it over anything and hated it so I was going to bring it back. Maybe I should layer before I rush to return. I got a different blue which had more glitter and it was AWFUL!! I also found a deep purple with purple glitter. That one I'm most likely keeping!
ReplyDeleteI'm still going back and forth on if I want/need this.... I like it, but don't want the fight of layering a sheer polish and having the glitter not place nicely.. Ah, who am I kidding.. I'll probably get it anyway!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous!!! Can't wait to get my own.
ReplyDeleteIs this going to be a part of the permanent line? I just ran to my BB&B and they were out (and every drugstore in town...they don't have it yet! haha), and I really want to get my hands on this! Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI really want this one!!! I loved the DL but this one is more in my price range!
ReplyDeleteOh godddd I need this. The search begins.
ReplyDeleteI picked up my bottle at Kmart! It's a tad bit more expensive at $4.99, but at least I have a bottle.
ReplyDeleteim on the bed bath and beyond website, and cannot find any revlon nail polishes there period help!
ReplyDeleteOh man! I was hoping Revlon would make dupe for this. As a college student, I currently refuse to buy any Deborah Lippman polishes haha. I've gotta go snag this one!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty! Too bad it takes so many coats to get full opacity.
ReplyDeleteYou have to buy it in store :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it's perm but I'm sure it will be around for a little while....probably go through a few names since Revlon likes to do that lol!
ReplyDeletejust like you , i never wanted the DL glitter in the air, but when i saw on twitter & blogs that there was a dupe i headed to all the CVS and walgreens & nothing! BUT you said you found it at BB&B ! thanks for the info!
ReplyDeletei just checked their website! the one with a beauty section on orange county is just by where i work ! woohoo!! you have now created a stalker! LOL ty!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get a bottle of this! I've wanted a backup bottle of GITA!
ReplyDeleteI think I want this one to be either more blue or more mint. This color is just kinda meh to me...but the chunky glitter is pretty. And who doesn't love a jelly sammich?!
ReplyDeleteWow! I will be on the hunt for this today.
ReplyDeleteI love how Revlon is making the high end brands affordable. :D
ReplyDeleteI have really been impressed with some of the things Revlon has come out with in the past 2 yrs. Prior to that, I had not bought Revlon for maybe 36 years. It had been when I was growing up, one of only 2 brands available to me. There were a few lines in dept. stores with polish, but nothing like the last 25 years. I do have Lippmann Up In The Air and this Revlon looks like a dead on dupe. I wear mine like you have with a light dusty blue base. Also, to give it a totally unique look, I use a DL shade that came out with UITA called Naked - an opaque nude with a lot of warmth to it. I never would have thought to use that as a base, had I not seen it put together on a friend first. So don't limited yourself to the smoky blue base (thou, that looks great too). Try a not too bare nude - just a bit darker than a typical light/med. tone you would find a typical face foundation makeup in. I had zero idea that any Bed, Bath & Beyond's had expanded beauty sections. I did look at their web site and found that icon to indicate if a location has one but none around where I am (despite I am having medical treatment in LA, CA area and not at home), none showed up around me with an expanded health/beauty. Hopefully, as you said we see this shade show up at drugstores. Maybe it's part of a new Revlon Jan collection that BB&B got put out early??? Gr8 find! Thanks for nabbing it and sharing it with us. You do have (near as I can tell) a dead dupe for UITA!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty color! I live in TX and I have seen the new displays at Walgreens and my Local Grocery store called (HEB)
ReplyDeleteyay! Hopefully it will start showing up all over the place then!
ReplyDeleteI NEED this polish! Looks amazing! ;)
ReplyDeleteHello Everyone!! You can also find this at Ulta, I'm on my way to pick mine up now... hooray!!
ReplyDeletethey have it out? that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was there the other day they didn't have it yet!
I really like the idea of this polish, but something about the milky quality of the blue kind of weirds me out.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I just about died when I saw it was a GITA dupe a few weeks ago. I really want this because it would kill a lemming and the cost is great. I'm hoping to see these popping up in Target, Walgreens, and CVS soon. The closest Bed, Bath & Beyond is a few minutes away from where I live but sadly it doesn't sell makeup.
ReplyDeleteYay, I was so sad we don't have an expanded BB&B, but I will be runnin to Ulta now! Love this!!!
ReplyDeleteI found this at a Super K-Mart last night!! I was so excited, as I don't have any Bed, Bath and Beyond's near me. They also had Scandalous, which I'm pretty sure is a re-release of Facts of Fuschia....they look exactly the same to me. Score!!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to have found this, my BB&B was already out of it!
ReplyDeletebummer! I think they only had 2 bottles in the display...they need more!
ReplyDeleteI need to get this!
ReplyDeleteIt's like Starry Pink's big brother!
URGH!!! None of my local BBB's have an HBC store in it. I have seen the newer colors for Revlon in Walmart...so I wonder if this color will ever pop up in their stores? :o/ You are so lucky because I refuse to pay anything over $10 for a polish...this would have been right within my budget.
ReplyDeleteI want this BAD!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks so nice and squishy on you!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that people are finding it at Kmart too, if you have one near you check there also! Hopefully it's out everywhere soon!
ReplyDeleteNo Kmart here in DFW...URGH again!!! I might have to get one of my family members who still live in LA to visit a Kmart to see what they can find. Thanks for the info!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! I really want this color :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Revlon's been hitting it out of the park with awesome glitters lately.
ReplyDeleteI searched everywhere for this today :( I couldn't find it anywhere! I'll have to check out Bed Bath & Beyond next.
ReplyDeleteWow Revlon are doing a great job duping Lippmanns!
ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteWhen i saw this polish, i right away thought this would be a dupe of Deborah Lippmann! Much better price though i bet! Awesome swatch! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that shade..luckily I have a good supply of harmon and BB&B w/harmon around my area...i'll be looking out for this and hopefully the polish fairies will cooperate :)
ReplyDeleteSO psyched I found this today at Kmart!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have Glitter in the air, but unfortunately it is a bit expensive for me right now.. This polish looks wonderful to, but we dont' have a BB&B in Sweden..
ReplyDeleteLovely! I hope that shows up somewhere nearby soon.
ReplyDeleteMy Ulta STILL doesn't have it! I got Scandalous but no sign of Whimsical, sadly.
ReplyDeleteA note: I drove to the nearest BB&B with an expanded cosmetics section - even living in Chicago, it was in a far-south 'burb - and while they did have the display, they didn't have Whimsical in stock (darn). However! I found it online at - of all places - Ulta! So if anyone is searching fruitlessly for this polish, Ulta online has it! :)
ReplyDeleteI bought this at Walmart.
ReplyDeletefound this at RiteAid today, and got it for $2.49
ReplyDeleteI found mine at Ulta, but I hate it. I tried it over everything and I can't get it to look decent at all. :( The glitter won't stay, slides right off with the next brush stroke. My Publix always has a couple bottles, if anyone lemming for it wants me to pick it up and mail it to them, I will.
ReplyDeleteI bought this at Kroger's signature store. How many coats of polish do you have to use to get that look pictured above? I have tried it over other polish and quite like it. Have never used it alone. It seems very opaque when used alone.
ReplyDeleteI found mine at a Martin's grocery store! :) Just goes to show, make sure you look everywhere where nail polish is sold - you just might find a gem like Whimsical. ;)
ReplyDeleteI found this polish at Rite Aid
