Armed and Ready is a dark brown toned grey with a coppery shimmer. The shimmer in this is pretty hidden but out in the sun it's super gorgeous! The shimmer has a little bit of copper, red and gold! Inside and in low light the shimmer is pretty much non-existent...I could barely even seen it in the bottle in the store! I definitely don't have anything like this polish and I'm such a lover of hidden shimmer that even if I did have a dupe I don't think I'd mind haha! The formula was really nice, I used 2 coats for the photos below.
The Go Overboard Collection from Essie should be in stores now or very soon, I know people have found it at Target, Walmart and Walgreens, it retails for around $8 depending on where you buy it. I also came across a bottle of Armed and Ready (but not the other 2 new shades) at CVS mixed in with the core display of polishes...not sure why it was like that, maybe they aren't supposed to be out there yet or something. Anyway, I hope you can find this if you like it!

ReplyDeleteI saw this one in the store and I could have sworn it was an olivey green.
ReplyDeleteOMG!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing color!
Love that shade! I don't think I have anything like it in my collection. Thanks for swatching!
ReplyDeleteOh, yep, Essie's website says it's green. I'm glad I'm not going crazy lol.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! I love how subtle the shimmer is.
ReplyDeleteweird, it definitely looks brownish grey to me! If it's green its the muddiest green I've ever seen lol
ReplyDeleteThat's really goreous, but not a color I'd think of for spring. Still, it looks like a great color for a night out.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this color.
ReplyDeletelove that color...just added it to my wish list :)
ReplyDeletelove that color...just added it to my wish list :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I MUST have this polish!!
ReplyDeleteI really like this color! it's nice to see something more subtle, since lately all the new colors have been glitters and flakies (even though i LOVE them!)
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteI loooove this one!
ReplyDeletewow, that is a nice polish. Just looking at it - makes me think - wintertime power suit!
ReplyDeleteRandom. I never buy Essie, but I was in Walgreens and saw this today and thought it looked pretty boring in the bottle. But, the color swatch they had and the name made me pause and then buy it. Glad I checked your site to see that was your NOTD. :) It'll be next on my mani list.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I need this shade. It's not speaking to me - not even a whisper. I have not seen the new spring Essie collection yet in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteI long does Essie last on your nails? Mine's been peeling or chipping in less than 24 hours! Is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI typically don't wear the same mani for more than a day so I can't really speak too much about the wear time :( It however wears great for that day lol, never any chipping or tip wear
ReplyDeleteTo me this shade is real classy with a hint of mystery....love the flecs of sparkle it adds depth to this polish
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I love this color!!
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty much an exact dupe for MAC Style Clan
ReplyDeleteLove this color!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of China Glaze Ingrid from one of their collections..
