Good morning everyone, happy Wednesday! Today I have an awesome glitter-tastic post for you guys! I know some of you have been looking forward to it since I was teasing you with photos of these on twitter over the weekend! Nerd Lacquer is a a brand that has been available on
etsy for a little while, I've been over on their shop drooling over the awesome glitters for a while. Now they are also being stocked at one my favorite new etailers,
Harlow & Co! I am so excited to finally have some of these and be able to share them with you guys, I hope you like them as much as I do! I have swatches of 7 of them for you and the awesome Kirsten from Glitta Gloves has another 6 on her blog today...you can check those out there at
GlittaGloves.com! Also...Harlow & Co have teamed up with Nerd Lacquer for a giveaway for a mini-quad of Nerd Lacquer polishes, I have the link to that at the very bottom of the post! Whew, that was a lot of intro haha, this post is very photo heavy...I couldn't help it, they deserve a million pictures! Photos and reviews of each shade are under the cut!
Yay for an awkward collage lol!
I'm going to use the descriptions Nerd Lacquer uses for these...they are fantastic! They describe the glitter and base color much better than I can and they are funny! All photos were taken in the shade and bright sunlight, I've labeled each photo with which lighting it is in :)
Crunchy Frog is a revoltingly gorgeous milk chocolate shimmer base with emerald glitter, small and medium grass green hexagonal glitter, olive microglitter, and you might also notice some large chunks of silvery white. The bones, obviously. If we took the bones out it wouldn’t be crunchy, would it? The easily-nauseated should feel free to think of this color as “chocolate mint.”
The formula was fantastic, full opacity in 2 coats. The glitter is abundant and easy to work with it also didn't dry with too much texture...that was a happy surprise! I am in love with this mix of glitter, I've never seen anything like it! I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Entirely Unlike Tea is what the Polishomatic came up with when asked for a flashy-yet-wearable neutral. With an opalescent warm pinky-tan base packed with iridescent glitter plus small and medium silver hexagonal glitter (and boasting a violet-pink opaline sheen), it’s almost, but not quite, precisely like tea from outer space.
The formula on this one was also good, a bit on the sheer side but it builds up beautifully. If there was ever a work safe chunky glitter this would be it! I used 3 coats for the photos below...this one also dried surprisingly smooth! This polish reminds of the sand at the beach!

Event Horizon is a blackened teal with small and medium blue and turquoise hexagonal glitter, silver and iridescent glitter, plus bright blue microglitter, and generously spiked with fine and ultrafine holographic sparkles.
The formula was nice on this one, a bit thick but it's so glitter packed that I expected it. It did dry a little bit matte and was hungry for top coat. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Hyperspace Bypass is a massively glittering big yellow something that hovers on your fingertips in exactly the way that bricks don’t. Packed with pale gold glitter, medium and large golden hex glitter, and small and medium black glitter, plus a sprinkling of holographic hex sparkles, it’ll disintegrate every other polish in your collection.
The formula on this one was a bit thick, but easy to apply. It was also more opaque than I was expecting! I only needed 2 coats, I thought I'd need 3! This is one of the polishes I had been drooling over on Nerd Lacquer's etsy, it was just as good as I could have imagined!

Purely Logical is a brilliant shimmering acid green packed with silver, copper, iridescent, and turquoise glitter, plus copper and turquoise medium hexagonal glitter.
The formula on this one was great, a bit on the sheer side so you could layer it if you wanted to. It also dried pretty smooth, I only needed 1 coat of top coat to make it smooth. I used 3 coats for full opacity. Check out the pretty gold shimmer in the sun...yum!

Quasar s a blackened pine green with holly green and silver glitter, olive and chartreuse microglitter, small and medium emerald hexagonal glitter, and generously spiked with fine and ultrafine holographic sparkles
The formula on this one was thick but it's so packed with glitter that it's to be expected. This is my absolute favorite of the Nerd Lacquer polishes I've tried, as good as it looks in photos it was a billion times better in person! I used 2 coats for full opacity.

Warrior Ethos is a bright blood red with black, iridescent, copper, and red glitter, plus medium black hexagonal glitter and large copper hexagonal glitter.
The formula was good on this one, the base is the most jelly-ish out of all 7 in this post. It's a bit sheer but perfect at 3 coats, this would also be awesome for layering. This one is also one of my favorites, the combo of red and black is super gorgeous!

These are all SO great. I love NerdLacquer soooo much, only own one polish (though more are on the way!) and after reading this post... I want more!!
ReplyDeleteBeauties! I just ordered a mini quad from Etsy a few days ago...so excited!
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous!! *adds them to my wishlist*
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I HAVE to get the Dr. Who polishes!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG @ Event Horizon. That is such a great movie. And now a beautiful polish! The nerd in me is jumping for joy.
ReplyDeleteI love this brand and it's great to see that they're teaming up with Harlow & Co. If any brand on this planet (and beyond) deserves more recognition and attention, it's Nerd Lacquer!
ReplyDeleteLoooove these. I hope to eventually have a few Nerd Lacquers in my collection.
ReplyDeleteI've been staring at Nerdlacquer on etsy for months now! They look amazing! I dont think I'll be able to hold off on buying some anymore. My husband is going to kill me!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting these! I've been wanting Nerd Lacquer polish for a while and maybe this will make me buy some from her etsy shop finally. Event Horizon and Crunchy Frog are my favorites out of these.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these, I've been looking for swatches, especially of Hyperspace Bypass! SO yummy!!
ReplyDeleteI really like these, and the descriptions. Is I don't like Tea anywhere close to OPI's Teenage Dream? They look similar but I'd love something more nude and less pink than Teenage Dream.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Crunchy Frog and Event Horizon are awesome! I've been an etsy shopper forever and I never knew they sold polishes. Keep up the awesome work!
Ah! I have been drooling over these on etsy for a while! These are gorgeous swatches!! =)
ReplyDeleteEntirely Unlike Tea and
ReplyDeleteEvent Horizon are beautiful! ♥
I have been eyeing Nerd Lacquer on Etsy/Harlow & Co for a while too, all of these look so stunning on you <3
ReplyDeleteOh my GOSH!!!!! soooo beautiful!! I 'm slobbering!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for those pretty swatches! Luckily I ordered six Nerd Lacquers in the beginning of January and I can't wait to try them myself. Purely Logical was sold out already but I will definitely include it in my next order :)
ReplyDeleteNope Teenage Dream is very different!
ReplyDeleteOH. GOOD. GOD! I love Crunchy Frog *much* more than I expected. Dang. I ordered Event Horizon the other day and my bestie has Warrior Ethos which I will be borrowing soon. Great, great swatches!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap! These are amaze! Are the bottles available at Harlow & Co. full size or mini?
ReplyDeleteThey are full size!
ReplyDeleteI am beyond excited to see these on here! I drool over Nerd Lacquer's polishes probably at least once a week. Nerd + Beauty = epic win. :) It's nice to see you swatch them, Jen!
ReplyDeletethanks! I'm glad you like them...I totally go on their etsy and drool over the polishes about that often as well lol!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered my first Nerd Lacquers over the weekend.. I'm excited to get Crunchy Frog and Data Squirrel :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just gonna go sob in a corner about how gorgeous these are and how much money I DON'T have for them. Arrrrrrgh. I need a job.
ReplyDeleteI got six mini bottles of Nerd Lacquer before Christmas and am currently wearing Exterminate. Love them!
ReplyDeleteWow! These look FANTASTIC! I am floored! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJust ordered the FROM
ReplyDeleteSPAAAAAACE Series off her etsy website. 3 fantastic shades: Nebula, Quasar & Event Horizon. Thanks for the swatches and order info.
Thanks for showing me something new. I have never heard of these polishes before but now am definitely interested in purchasing a few.
ReplyDeleteI get paid on Friday. I get paid on Friday.
ReplyDeleteI get paid on Friday.
I cannot WAIT until Friday!!
Loving hyperspace bypass!
ReplyDeletethese are AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeletei just bought 6 of them... it took so much restraint not to get more! they are sooooo amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, these are amazing and so unique! I want them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteO.O <--- I keep making that face every post, lol! These are great! I think I spazzed most over Hyperspace Bypass. It's so cool. I'm especially loving the ones that looks like glitter floating in jelly (Hyperspace Bypass, Event Horizon, Quasar, and Warrior Ethos)! Beautiful swatches!!! <3
ReplyDeletesuperb!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHyperspace Bypass reminds my of lemon pepper
ReplyDeleteI am buying some of these right now...literally I have the Etsy shop open in another window. :) :) So awesome.
ReplyDeleteOf all these awesome glitters, Entirely Unlike Tea and Crunchy Frog popped out at me as must-haves! So beautiful! Thanks for the fab swatches!
ReplyDeleteThese formula wise look interestingly unique to me - like something some of us would have played and come up with only much better. Crunch Frog is a perfect name for that shade!. Cannot get me with the yellow one however - it's in that rage that makes me look totally ill. But then many cannot do yellow polish. Know I am not alone on that one.
ReplyDeleteI Love Nerd Lacquer!! I have yet to buy some but I definitely will!! New follower from A Pop! of Polish
ReplyDeletewww.apopofpolish.blogspot.com
Thankfully, I don't really like these that much. I don't have to break my no-buy month.
ReplyDeleteWow what awesomely unique polishes! Love them!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so wonderful! My favorite would be Hyperspace Bypass!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! Crunchy Frog, Event Horizon and Quasar will be mine!! Great descriptions as well ♥
ReplyDeleteOk so I've heard of etsy (who hasn't) but let me get this straight there are fabulous polishes that aren't normal dupable shades....it's offical I'm now stalking them.
ReplyDeleteI need Crunchy Frog, Hyperspace Bypass...and the bright orange that is on there page called Regeneration. Thank you for posting about this brand!
there are a bunch of great polishes popping up on Etsy, you should check out Lacquistry and Hare Polish. I bet you'd like them too!
ReplyDeleteI love 'em! The names are so great. For those of us who love doctor who, hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy and other "nerd"stuff this is just top of the cake! Wonderful
ReplyDeleteI've been looking at all of the Nerd Lacquer polishes for the last few weeks trying to decide which I would want the most, but after this post, I need them ALL!!
ReplyDeleteGorramit. I resolved to buy fewer polishes this year, aaaaaand already broken. The mere notion of having a "Don't Panic" polish in my collection makes me so giddy I feel like my brain has been smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick.
ReplyDeleteOH MY SPARKLE!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't like Event Horizon, I think that's just a personal thing with black & glitter some are okay but most I dislike. I also didn't like Quasar, the only save is the look of hunter green.
Crunchy Frog aka Chocolate Mint is so different & cool, would love to rock it.Entirely Unlike Tea is a MUST HAVE for every woman!!! I NEED this in my life!
Hyperspaace Bypass is fun but it kinda reminds me of yellow frog eggs... *shrugs*
Purely Logic is an eh in the shade but gorgeous in the sun
Warrior Ethos is cute, it reminds me of a very ripe strawberry.
SO glad you indulged yourself & shared with us!
