One Big Happy Fame-ily is a very light purple with a gorgeous silvery shimmer. I was all OMG when I saw this in the bottle, I love it on the nail also! I love this because the shimmer is subtle but not so subtle that you can never see it. It's very visible indoors and in the shade! The formula was a bit sheer but it builds up beautifully! I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Back To Reality...TV is a dusty periwinkle with a subtle reddish shimmer. If you liked OPI's Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI you will like this too. It's a lot more blue toned than the similar polishes that have come out from various companies for Spring. This shimmer in this was pretty hidden, I could see it out in the bright sun but other than that it just looked like a pretty periwinkle. The formula was surprisingly sheer, it was okay-ish at 2 coats but I ended up using 3 to get it completely opaque. Quick tip...if you get this make sure you wrap your tips, I didn't and it's very obvious (at least to me!!)

Our Fuschia's Lookin' Bright is described by Nicole by OPI as a purple-y fuschia, I think that's accurate! I don't have much to say about this one, I like it but I don't feel like it's super unique. The formula was great, my favorite of these 7 polishes! I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Paparazzi Don't Preach is a gorgeous pink toned peach. My favorite, are any of us surprised? This is what...the 3rd peach this Spring? It's my favorite out of all the ones I've reviewed so far this year, I think it might be because it's more pink toned than the previous ones. The formula was nice, easy to work with but a little sheer. I used 3 coats for the photos below.
I also secretly love this one because the name makes me think of Madonna... back when she was awesome!

Smile For The Glam-era is a dark shimmer packed plummy purple with gold microglitter. It seems out of place in this collection but it's a gorgeous vampy polish! I don't have much to say about this one either, if you like sparkly vampy shades you'll love this. The formula was really nice, I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Strike A Pose is a bright orangey red. Oh Nicole by OPI, thank you for another Madonna-esq name...that rules. This red is a bit unusual, I actually can't think of a dupe for it. It might not look super unique in the photos but it's one you might need to see in more swatches or in person to appreciate fully. The formula was a little on the thick side but it was easy to apply. I used 2 coats for the photos below.
Overall I love these additions, some of the formula's weren't all that but the colors are gorgeous! My favorites are Paparazzi Don't Preach, One Big Happy Fame-ily, Back To Reality...TV and Smile For The Glam-era!
These CVS exclusive lacquers will be available February 2012 for $7.99 each at CVS locations nationwide and online at cvs.com.

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful colors! Finally some Nicole by OPI polishes I would buy...but I seriously already have these shades.. :( Very pretty though!
ReplyDeleteSeems like One Big Happy Fame-ily should have been in the Holland Shimmers! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm on the hunt for the perfect peach. How does Paparazzi don't preach compare to Essie's a crewed interest? Are they close at all?
ReplyDeleteI only like the 3 purples. Not bad, but glad to have your swatches to help me decide!
ReplyDeleteThey are similar but Paparazzi Don't Preach is a lot more pink toned!
ReplyDeleteSmile For The Glam-era might seem out of place in a Spring collection, but as a gal who wears dark polish all year long, I'm very excited to pick this one up!!
ReplyDeleteLove Paparazzi Don't Preach!
ReplyDeleteThese just don't really do it for me. It seems like we're seeing a lot of polish like OBHF lately.
ReplyDeleteLove these, i really loved the last collection too I have a few of those and just love them!
ReplyDeleteStrike a Pose looks like Make Some Noise from CG! i just love that color!
ReplyDeleteI like!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
I love all of the colours... so so nice on nails :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-) That helps!
ReplyDeleteOh I NEED Paparazzi Don't Preach. I am obsessed with peach polishes and I love that it's more pink toned. I love Smile For the Glam-era as well :)
ReplyDeleteReally pretty! I got One Big Happy Fame-ily, Back to Reality TV, and Smile for the Glam-era! for Valentine's.
ReplyDeleteI love them all
ReplyDeleteI wished I could find them!!!!
Love all of them! Seeing your swatches made me realize that I don't have a fuschia cream polish or a red like this one. Gonna haveto keep an eye out for these.
ReplyDeleteso these aren't going to hit w-mart?
ReplyDeleteI love all these colors! I don't like the Kardashians so idk if i'll buy them :\
ReplyDeleteBack To Reality TV and Smile for The Glam-era are definitly my faves from all those colors! Too bad they're only available at CVS...
ReplyDeleteI love all of them! I definitely am going to pick up One Big Happy Fame-ily. Such a pretty color for spring! I might have to run over to CVS after work today... :)
ReplyDeletewuauuuuuuuuuuu
ReplyDeletenope, they are exclusive to CVS stores and CVS.com
ReplyDeleteThose are all super pretty! However I don't have a CVS near me! So it looks like I won't be getting any! Thanks for the swatches!
ReplyDeleteYou can buy them on the CVS website also :)
ReplyDeleteAgree - nothing unique here....esp for the price point they ask for Nicole. You were commenting on the one that looked like Dutch Tulips - well I think Smile For The Glam-era looks like a cousin to Vampsterdam - only seems you can see more in Smile For The Glam-era than Vampsterdam that is soooo dark you loose everything good they put into it IMHO. I adore fuchsias - but the one they gave us here is a sister of Dim Sum Plum and a bunch of other like sisters out there. I will certainly look for other swatches of Strike A Pose. I am liking red/oranges of late, but I bet if I looked in my stash I would find an old OPI that is this shade or super close. Seems this one has a touch of pink to the red that makes it a tish unique..maybe that is what you were reaching for in your description that you could not nail something exactly like this one. I like One Big Happy Fame-ily. Really surprising that soooooo many Nicole polishes are coming out with the tag on of the Kardashian label. Cash in by OPI or a strict, lucrative contract made by momanager Kris?
ReplyDeleteCVS exclusive? So no hope for Canada? :(
ReplyDeleteI think I'll be passing on these. I don't like the Kardashians and these colors just aren't unique enough for me. I do think it's interesting that these are exclusive to CVS-- none of the CVS stores near me have ever carried NOPI.
ReplyDeleteI'm not feeling the entire collection, but some of these CVS shades I feel that I NEED them in my collection, esp Strike A Pose! OMG :)
ReplyDeleteSince they will not be available in Canada, can you suggest a dupe for One Big Happy Fame-ily? This one I find really pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteI actually love most of the colors in this collection (basing my opinion on what I see here.) I ended up ordering all of them (except Ladies in the Limelight because I don't want to baby a polish.) We don't have CVS in Seattle so I got them online, right now they are having an after Valentine's sale (25% off!) and free shipping on orders over $49 so I got ten polishes for just over $50!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, i'm curious to know if Ladies in the Limelight looks like OPI Fiercely Fiona... would love to see a comparison. :)
lilicoyote i live in canada (ontario) and i've seen these at loblaws
ReplyDeleteWhere can you buy online? X
ReplyDeleteI live in Australia is there anywhere I can buy these from online? I know the Nicole by OPI official website sells them as I have already purchased a few from their first collection but really want these new ones.
ReplyDeleteI believe CVS.com only ships within the US, I think you would have to try to get them somewhere like ebay :(
