OPI A Roll In The Hague vs Essie Orange, It's Obvious- I used 2 coats of the OPI and 3 coats of the Essie for the photos below. The OPI formula is a lot better but they are not dead on dupes...close though! Do you need both? Probably not. I'd pick the OPI.
OPI Did You 'ear About Van Gogh? vs Zoya Farah. I used 2 coats of each. Formula wise both are great. These are almost dead on, in person I couldn't tell a difference. On my computer screen I can but it's so slight that it might only be my monitor. Do you need both...I don't think so. My pick is whichever you have easier access to, they are both great!
OPI Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI? vs Zoya Tru. I used 2 coats of each. Formula wise again both are great. Pretty much dead on dupes here. Sephora by OPI Hell To The No is also close to these but with more/slightly different shimmer....it's more coppery where the ones here look more reddish. Like the comparisons above I'd just get whichever is easiest/cheapest for you to get.
OPI I Don't Give A Rotterdamn vs Zoya Skylar vs OPI I Have A Herring Problem. I used 2 coats of each polish. No dupes here, all very pretty though! Do you need them all, probably not (unless you hoard polish like I do lol)
OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips vs Nicole by OPI All Kendall-ed Up. I used 2 coats of each. These are pretty dead on...formula wise and color wise I love them both. Again, I'd just get whichever is cheaper/easier to find.
OPI Thanks A WindMillion vs OPI Mermaid Tears. I used 2 coats of each. I wasn't going to do this comparison but so many of you wanted to see it that I decided to...they are not dupes. Different enough to own both if you are a green lover like me!
OPI Thanks A WindMillion vs Zoya Bevin. I used 2 coats of each. Not 100% dead on dupes but close enough that you don't need both!
Hope you guys found these helpful....lots of close ones in here!

Wow, thats almost half the Holland collection that has dupes! I really thought I was going love this collection. On the displays and photos of them altogether I like them, but I don't love any of them.
ReplyDeleteis it just me or does this seem like an unusually high amount of dupes?
ReplyDeleteVery helpful, thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow, there are a lot of really close color-cousins! O_o Thanks for the comparisons! A Roll In The Hague is screaming "BUY ME!!!"
ReplyDeletewow! those really look alike a lot! o.O
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these comparisons! I almost bought Essie's Orange, It's Obvious! the other day, but then wondered how close it is to $OPI Caliente Coral from a year or two ago and put it back.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, very helpful. Must admit though that it's quite disappointing to see how similar these polishes are.
ReplyDeleteGreat comps, a lot I didn't think of! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these! This helps me scratch some off, although knowing my "get the whole collection" tendencies I might still end up with more than I should!
ReplyDeletea roll in the hague, dutch ya love OPI looks very similar to whatever dupes you post above!!
ReplyDeletebtw thanks a windmillion and mermaid's tears doesn't look that same though! in my opinion, mermaid's tears looks much better!
Do you have anything similar to gouda gouda two shoes and wooden shoe like to know?
Great! These are exactly whar I needed to starting new polishe 's shopping!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, you really help me saving my money!
By the way You are awesome! I read your blog as it is my holy bible!!!!!
See you soon!
Thank you! Great comparisons.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! I of course have to have them all.. dupes or not. haha! As always, you rock!
ReplyDeleteThank you! So helpful :)
ReplyDeletethank you! I'm glad it's helpful!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find any dupes to those two in my stash!
ReplyDeleteyou should like me, I always buy even if there are dupes...it's why my stash is out of control LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you! ♥
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at the number of dupes! Glad it was helpful for you!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen that $OPI, sounds like it would be a color I like though! I love orange polishes!
ReplyDeleteyep, lots of close dupes in here!
ReplyDeletelol I think I actually did hear mine screaming that!
ReplyDeleteIt does to me too, I guess everyone was on the same wavelength for Spring this year!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is just what I've been waiting for! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteEpic comparison post! Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! This was very very helpful! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Now I see I don't need the whole collection, haha
ReplyDeleteWow. How disappointing. But really. How many new colors can there be out there?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, very useful, saves me getting both the purples!!
ReplyDeleteHow does the fuchsia colored one in this collection (can't remember the name for the life of me) compare to CG Fuchsia Fanatic? I too am surprised by how close this is to other colors. I knew they looked suspiciously familiar.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comparison! Seems like I can skip Windmillion. And maybe I don't give a Rotterdam. I'm still wondering why they put two very similar shades into one collection...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comparisons! Farah/Did You 'Ear remind me of Color Club Nomadic in Nude. Oi.
ReplyDeleteI'm really surprised at the amount of dupes! The ones I wanted from Zoya and OPI were dupes the whole time, so thanks for the comparison! Even though my eyes were on Zoya first, I'll probably go with OPI because I can find them easier and get them for cheaper. Plus, I do like the names a little better.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.Very helpful! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteamazing comparison, thank you
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks for saving me from buying OPI Thanks a WindMillion, I already have Zoya Bevin - that just means I can buy something else! lol ;)
ReplyDeleteThe China Glaze is darker
ReplyDeleteThat´s why I had the impression that I didn´t have so many options in the new collections! Can´t the companies take the risk to make their own colors??
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comparisons, that was really helpful!!
I like orange! XoXo
ReplyDeletefabulous post - you answered the very question every one is asking xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches thanks soo much for posting!
ReplyDeleteVERY helpful! Thank you so much for posting! Still nothing new in these spring collections, all way round :o(
ReplyDeleteI love when bloggers do this. Thanks so much. I had heard of the Bevin/Windmillion, Skylar/Herring, Farrah/Vandego but not the he Hague vs Essie Orange, It's Obvious. I figured somewhere there would be a close one to the OPI orange but hoped that maybe the OPI might be more jelly than possible dupes out there. Tulips vs Nicole by OPI All Kendall-ed Up does not surprised me at all. It's a pretty but not original shade at all. I was thinking of older OPI's like Kola Bear or DimSum Plum and some one hit now forgotten shades from OPI being similar - even maybe some pink Essies too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this! Your post is going to save me time and money!
ReplyDeletegreat post.
ReplyDeleteI wish they weren't so many dupes but it's good to know that id i want one colour, i can look for another brand if it's harder to find.
Thanks for these comparisons. So many looked familiar and now I know why! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the swatches... love em!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was such a great post, thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Never would have noticed how close they are! Thanks this post was VERY helpful!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting these. I love your comps, the best out there. Great nails, awesome photos! Thanks again
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty nice - I haven't worn it in a while, this gives me an excuse! I'll post some pictures of it on my page.
ReplyDeleteMs.Polish Aholic, thank you for the dupes, I just knew these collections are similar than different. I wonder if Zoya "Cho" is similar to anything, the reason I ask I might make that mine!
ReplyDeleteCho isn't similar to anything I could find in my stash :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the OPI Holland collection! I'm part Dutch and couldn't believe it when OPI brought out this set. I haven't managed to get my hands on it yet, but am planning to put in a wholesale order next weekend. Love the blog!!!
ReplyDeleteNot only do you take the best pictures, but I'm so glad when you do the comparisons so we can see how close they are .
ReplyDeleteCan you compare OPI Pink Friday to OPI Mod About You? I love mod about you, and want pink friday but I'm afraid it's because they are the same color! Thanks! :]
ReplyDeleteThank-you for the awesome comparisons! Makes my choice easier for what's next on my must have list! Fabulous swatches as always :)
ReplyDeleteCan't help but see Skylar/Rotterdam/Herring are all very similar to butter Londons Victorianna. What do u think??
I don't own Mod About You, sorry :(
ReplyDeleteI've seen other people say that they might be close also but I don't own that Butter London so I'm not sure how close they are
ReplyDeleteah! you need it! it's probably my favorite polish i have!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is fantastic. Very helpful for color distinctions and a fantastically thorough use of obsession.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comparisons!
ReplyDeleteThe OPI Holland collection was the 2nd whole collection I bought and I just bought China Glaze Electropop collection last month! I almost bought Zoyas new collection then I saw OPI's Holland collection. I just love the new spring colours. The only thing missing for me is a creamy peach with a white polish mixed in so it's very opaque. This is starting to be a great year for nail polish colours.
ReplyDeleteBest pics I have seen comparing Windmillion and Mermaid's. Thanks so much. Also decided that I don't need both blues from the Holland collection, even though the nail polish hoarder part of me is saying I do.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because I really thought it was going to be a dirtier green - OPI thanks a windmillion and Bevin is a bit bluer but it's really not a color I need both of. I have Zoya Maya and Essie Cute as a button but for some reason I have to have both lol. Essie is a bit more opaque and pinker and Maya is slightly more coral, they both are 3 coaters though lol :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm not getting Farrah, Tru and Bevin =) I already have their respective close dupes =)
ReplyDeleteThis is the very first time I have seen comparison swatches so concise. Thank you so much!! Outstanding!
