Happy Thursday! Today I have swatches of more additions to Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolors line to show you guys. These must be a huge success for Nicole by OPI with the way the keep adding to the collection! These 6 new polishes are all inspired by Kim, hence the collection name...Wel-Kim To My World! The polish names in this collection make me cringe a tiny bit but I really like a few of the shades! Hope you guys do also!

Here Kim's The Sun is small opalescent glitter in a clear base. I didn't think this one would be anything special from the bottle but once I put it over black I ended up really liking it. I'm loving the colors the glitter flashes, it has a lot of blue, green and coppery looking pieces. This is one that I don't think you'd be able to get opaque on it's own since it's farily sparse. I used 1 coat of Here Kim's The Sun over black for the photos below.

Kim Konfidential is described by Nicole by OPI as a honey-nude creme. This is a nice nude, probably not the best for my skintone but I'll probably still wear it because I do like it. The formula wasn't my favorite ever, it was a little streaky but easy to manage other than that. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Lights, Kim-era, Action! is a opalescent pearly kind of shade. I was obsessed with this in the bottle but I don't care for it on, at least not layered over black. This is very sheer so it's nothing something I would wear on it's own. I think it might look a bit better over a green or maybe a blue polish. I used 1 coat over black for the photos below. I was hoping this would be a little more duochrome but I feel like it fell a little flat :( All the photos below are in the shade.
Nothing Kim-pares To Blue is a light shimmery blue. It leans a little more to the periwinkle side in the bottle but that got washed out against my ghostly skin haha. This was my easy favorite of the collection, I ended up using it as a base for some layering I'll be showing soon...it was SO pretty! The formula was a little thin but it builds up nicely, I used 3 coats for the photos below.
Others Pale By Kim-parison is an eggshell white creme. I like this because it's not too stark of a while, I didn't feel like I was wearing white out on my nails. The formula was okay, it looked good at 2 coats but it wasn't leveling well on some of my nails so I ended up using 3 coats for the photos below.

Up & Kim-ing Pink is a light pink creme. I do like this one since I am weirdly obsessed with pink lately but unfortunately this seems to be a pretty spot on dupe for Pink Friday that just came out with the Nicki Minaj Collection from OPI :( If you don't have easy access to OPI this might be a bit easier to find and a little cheaper depending on where you buy your polish. The formula was a little bit thick but I didn't have any problems with application I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Here is Up & Kim-ing Pink next to Pink Friday, I used 3 coats of polish for both. Photo is in the shade.
Overall, I don't like these new additions as much as I hoped I would. I love Nothing Kim-pares to Blue, I feel like I'll probably be grabbing for Others Pale By Kim-parison a lot also since it's a nice shade of white.
Wel-Kim to My World will be available April 2012 for $7.99 each at retailers including CVS, Duane Reade, Harmon, Sears, ULTA and Wegmans. In Canada, this line will be available for $10.99 each at Jean Coutu, Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart.

My favourite is Nothing Kim-pares To Blue, so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like nude! XoXo
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't keep up with all the Kardashian colors. I feel like new ones come out every day! I actually like all of these. Nothing Kim-pares to Blue is probably my favorite too. Is it just me, or are the names getting a bit annoying with "Kim" in all of them?
ReplyDeleteI like them all!! Maybe the pearl could look nice over a light color?
ReplyDeleteI like it! can't choose what's my favourite
ReplyDeleteFunny ~ Lights, Kim-era, Action! over black was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNothing Kim-pares To Blue is the only one I'm attracted to. The rest just look okay.
ReplyDeleteNothing Kim-Pares to Blue really reminds me of Cinderella from Sinful Colors, maybe even close enough to be dupes?
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and the eggshell but the names are horrid.
ReplyDeleteI do like Here Kim's the Sun but I have to say I would never buy these just for the association. I started liking the Kardashians but really they've just turned into a money grabbing circus. Maybe that's a bit too extremist of me, like the people buying them JUST for the association but I really can't stand them anymore :S

ReplyDeleteNothing Kim-pares to Blue (that was painful to type) looks a lot like Milani's new shade Beach Front.
ReplyDeletekim konfidential's my fave! i actually think it looks really good on your skin tone though!
ReplyDeleteNot really, same idea but Cinderella leans more to blue/grey and the Nicole by OPI leans more towards blue/purple. They appear similar in my photos because of what I layered Cinderella over.

ReplyDeletei think i like the kimparable to blue only too!
ReplyDeleteI can handle their reality show, but their branding is going way to the extreme now. I guess they have to go for it now 'cause in 10 yrs or less they will all be has bends. I hope they are all investing their $ really well now.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the comparisons you do. I almost always have one so I don't have to buy the other. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHere Kim's The Sun looks like a dead-on dupe of Orly's Shining Star. It was one of their holiday top coats. Does the same thing over black
ReplyDeletethis is a fabulous post! i love the nude shade....getting myself one soon!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the post! Definitely convinced me to buy Nothing Kim-pears to Blue!
ReplyDeleteI was looking on the secondary market and ran into the pearl one (the swatch shown there looked too go to be true - since I am really into layering, thought I would check back with my bloggers. I love the pearl LuxEffects by Essie. Since reading your review again and can 'see' in your photo of this one over black, it is FLAT....nothing I want to pay the inflated 2nd market prices on.
