Morning! Today I have swatches of 3 polishes from theBalm to show you guys! You might know of theBalm because of their awesome makeup but they just recently launched a whole line of their Hot Ticket nail polishes! They have pretty much a whole rainbow of colors to choose from, I've had my eye on them for a while. I picked up a couple polishes a while back when theBalm was on Hautelook, I can't believe I haven't posted about them yet...no worries though swatches of those 2 will be coming soon! Make sure you check out my full swatches of these 3 gorgeous shades after the jump!

Hella Yella is a bright sunny yellow creme. When theBalm asked if I wanted to review a few shades from their line I knew I had to pick a yellow. I love yellow polish and good ones are hard to come by! Hella Yella was pretty darn good, it wasn't perfect in the formula department, it was a little thick and tad bit streaky but with some patience I only needed 2 coats to get it perfect! Depending on how you polish you might need 3 coats but I thought it evened itself out really nicely! I'm really loving that this is a bit of a darker bright yellow, it's still very bright but it's not eye searing and neon!

Root Beer Gloat is a reddish brown metallic! I wasn't sure about this from the bottle picture on theBalm's website but once I got the bottle...wow! It's one of those polishes that just glows outside in the sunshine. I feel like I don't have anything like this polish, every time I try to buy shades like this they turn out to be all brushstroke-y which isn't the case here, thankfully! The formula was great, I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Sky Blue Right Past You is a light robins egg blue creme. Man, I wish I had this when I was trying to find something to layer Sinful Colors Cinderella over! I do feel like I probably have shades like this but the formula was so nice, I'll probably be grabbing this before the others. It wasn't super streaky and it leveled out really nicely! I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Overall I am in love with these polishes, I will be picking up more polishes from theBalm! I have Girls Just Wanna Have Plum and Call Me Irridescent from a sale Hautelook had a while back and I really cannot wait to wear them now!
theBalm Hot Ticket polishes can be purchased on their website
here for $10 each. Occasionally they are on Hautelook also for a bit cheaper, I think theBalm is on there right now (or it might have just ended) but there was only 1 polish duo for sale this time. If you like makeup and have never tried theBalm you should have a looksie at that too, I love their eye shadows...especially the Nude 'Tude palette!

ReplyDeleteI got 1 of their silver foils in a promo and I was surprised it was really streaky. I wouldn't suggest that one but most people have a good silver foil anyway.
