Hi guys! I have a little non polish related post for you this afternoon. Sometimes it's nice to not talk about nail polish, right! I wanted to show you guys what Degen got in his BarkBox for April! BarkBox is a monthly sample box for dogs, we have all heard of them for beauty (Birchbox, MyGlam, Beauty Army etc...) As soon as I heard about BarkBox in a video from BentleyBlonde on Youtube I ordered it for Degen.
Basically, you go on BarkBox.com and fill out a little survey about your dog. You also choose the size of your dog (Small & Cute for dogs 0-20lbs, Just Right for dogs 20-50lbs or Big & Bold for dogs over 50lbs) Degen is in the "Just Right" size in case you were wondering. Depending on how you set up your subscription the price varies, you can do monthly, 3 months or 6 months. If you do monthly it is $25 per month, 3 months is $21 per month and 6 months is $17 per month. I signed Degen up for monthly but I'll probably be changing it to a 3 or 6 month subscription as soon as I finish typing this. Also, 10% of each box is donated to doggies in need, which I love!
This is how the box looks when you open it up, it's very similar to how the beauty boxes come wrapped. The big card on the left side lists everything in the box!
To see everything that came in Degen's April BarkBox click the Read More button below!
The first thing in Degen's box is Little Eatz Cinnamon Crunch cookies. The card in the box says that I can eat these also, I think Degen would probably attack me if he saw me doing that so I'll leave them for him. The bag is big, I'm guessing a full size. I usually buy Degen's cookies at a store here called Muttropolis and this bag looks to be the same general size. Degen loves these Little Eatz cookies and they are much cheaper so I will probably re-buy these when he's gone through this bag!
If you want to buy these for your dog they are available on LittleEatz.com for $3.99 a bag...not bad! It looks like they are also available in a few stores but none in California. There is a list on their website if you're interested!
Next up is K-10+ He got 2 little packets. Here is what the card says about these: This NYC company has created an all-natural multi vitamin to enhance immunity, vitality, health and strength! Best part- no more hard to swallow vitamins, just mix with your dogs' water each day. These are available from K-10plus.com if you want to check them out for your own dog.
I'm not sure if I'll use these, we have a cat also and Degen and Oreo drink the same water. I need to make sure these are kitty safe before I try them out. If they aren't I'll gift them to my next door neighbor, they have the cutest bulldog ever named Brando...I'm sure they'd like to try them out.
The next thing in the box is from Eco Dog Planet and it's doggy bags made from tapioca plant. They are all natural and I'm guessing better for the environment than those blue plastic bags I buy at Petsmart. We'll definitely be using these when I take Degen for walks! These are available on EcoDogPlanet.com.
Next is what I am most excited to try out, it's a Freezy Pups Kit. How freaking cute is this?!? It's an ice cube tray that makes cubes shaped like dog biscuits! They also included 4 flavor packs that you can mix in with the water for your dog. I think Degen will enjoy these during the summer, he loves ice! This is from Freezypups.com
The last item on the card is a Barkworthies round bully stick. Surprisingly, Degen has never had a bully stick. They are usually expensive and he's a chewer so I've always just gotten him bones. Clearly, as you can tell from the photo Degen approves of this. I tried to take a picture of it on the couch and he attacked and ripped it out of my hand. It was kind of amazing that I got it back from him long enough to take the tag off haha!
Needless to say, I will repurchase this out of fear that Degen will murder me in my sleep if I don't.
The next 2 items were extras! The first is a yellow collar that says BarkBox on it. The second is a cute BarkBox shirt for me!
Overall, I think the $25 was worth it and I'm very happy with Degen's first BarkBox, Degen is happy with it too haha! I'm really looking forward to seeing what he'll get in his May box!
If you want to get a BarkBox for your own dog check out BarkBox.com, If you want to get the May box make sure you sign up by May 10th...as far as I know that is the cut off before you'll have to wait for the June Box!
