China Glaze Crackle Glitter Swatches!

Morning! Hope you all had a good weekend and a great Easter if you celebrated it! Today I have 4 new crackle glaze polishes form China Glaze to show you! These 4 are glitter crackles! I'll be the first one to say, enough with the crack, but I'm actually really liking these new glittery versions! They add a nice bit of sparkle without being all crazy. I like crazy most of the time but not always!

Click the read more button below for more photos of each shade!

For all of the photos below I did use top coat, like most crack polishes these dry matte!

Glam-More is a bright fuschia glitter. Of all 4 of these I like this color the best, however I found it to be the most difficult to work with. It was the only one that I had to use several times before I got it to actually crack. A lot of the time it would hardly crack at all or it would crack very little. Once I finally got it to work I'm loving the look! I used Glam-More over American Apparel Mount Royal for the photos below.

Gleam Me Up is a light aqua glitter. I really like this one, it's such a pretty color of glitter and I didn't have issues with it cracking! I used Gleam Me Up over NCLA Hello, I Love You.

Shade

Jade-D is a bright yellow toned green glitter. I need to put this one over black next time I wear it because I think the glitter will be even better! I used Jade-D over American Apparel Malibu Green for the photos below!

Luminous Lavender is a light lilac purple glitter. Out of all 4 crackles this is my least favorite, the glitter just felt so sparse and fine that you could hardly see it when you put it over your base color. I did enjoy it over red like I've shown below but unfortunately it didn't photograph well :( I used Luminous Lavender over Zoya Carmen for the photos below.

Overall, I am a fan which I was not expecting! My picks are Glam-More and Jade-D! The China Glaze Crackle Glitter polishes will be available in May 2012 and will retail for $9 a bottle. Not sure why they are more expensive than normal China Glaze polishes.

Glam More is the only one that I find interesting.

  4. I'm pleasantly surprised!  If you asked me a week ago, I'd say I never wanted to see another crackle polish, but I'm loving these!  It just proves that if you add glitter, you can make anything awesome. :)  Great pics as always!

On Luminous Lavender, you can barely even tell it is a crackle. The only one that I'm interested in is Glam-More. I have a blue glitter Funky Fingers polish called "Blue Glitter Scales" and it looks almost identical to Gleam Me Up.

I've never worn a crackle since I keep a polish on for a week and I think I'd get sick of it before then. These look nicer than the original ones, there's something nice about the glitter.

  12. I like  Glam-More for it´s color but really I´m tired of the crackle fashion right now, I don´t think I´m going to buy more of those and give away most of my own yet

  13. Aw, I think I'll pass on these - they look a little like sand on your manicure :/
Was never really a fan of crackle though so it's probably just me. Barry M's Croc Effect is the only one of the entire genre to wow me x

  17. do you buy all of your polishes or do you get some collections sent to you from polish companies to review?

  18. I buy most of what I show, the China Glaze polishes in this post were sent for review. Whenever something is sent there is a disclaimer at the bottom of the post :)

When I first heard of the CG glitter crackles I was pretty meh about them. But now I can see how fun they can be so I actually might pick up a couple! =x
