Enchanted Polish Dragon Spit & Magic Mirror

Good morning! Yesterday afternoon I realized that I forgot to announce who won the guess how many polishes I own contest! The winner was Holly, she guessed 1823...the actual number of polishes I own is 1822! I should say it's the number I owned when the contest ended on Saturday....the number is a bit higher today because it was a good mail day on Monday! Now that I know what a hoarder I am I think a big purge will be on the horizon. It was kind of amazing to go through everything, I own some seriously hideous frosty polishes I never remember buying. I kept find them and being like wtf was I thinking when I saw them, I really can't imagine myself being like "Oh yes, come to mama you pretty little polish."

Anyway, the polishes I have to show you are nothing like what I was just talking about...these are beautiful! Enchanted Polish is a new to me etsy shop that sells holos, I have a couple to show you today and I am loving them!

First up is Dragon Spit, it's a coppery red with a strong linear holo! It's much more holo in real life, my camera wasn't picking up all the awesome going on here. The formula was really great, it was pretty much opaque in 1 coat and applied like butter! I used 2 coats for the photos below, I do not have a top coat on in these photos. I haven't tried these with top coat yet so I'm not sure if it dulls them or not.

Magic Mirror is a light blue toned purple with a strong linear holo. There are also little bits of clear flakies in here, it looked very cool in the bottle but once the polish was on the nail they kind of disappeared unless I was indoors or in the shade. This one is also much more holo in real life! The formula was very nice on this one also, it was a little sheer on the first coat but perfect on the second!

Here is a bottle shot of Magic Mirror in the shade, see those cool flakies?!? I wish they had translated more on the nail when I was in the sun!

Enchanted Polish is available on Etsy, it looks like the shop is closed right now but I'm sure it will be back soon! If you want to be notified when Enchanted Polish is open again there is a little button below her "on vacation" message where you can click to be emailed when she is out of vacation mode. You can also "like" the Enchanted Polish Facebook for updates!

  2. Both are gorgeous, but Magic Mirror is seriously awesome!! One of the things of the holos (which I love and are my favorite kind of polish) is that sometime they look a little meh in the shade, so If the flakies are noticeable in the shade, problem solved!!!
I think I'll have to stalk that shop now haha!!!
How much did you pay? Are they full size bottles?
Thanks for sharing, my wallet thanks you very much lol!! ;-)

  3. I am addicted to holos and bought 10 of hers!  I found that top coat does not dull it-but the two I have tried so far were vastly different in their holo-ness.  One was great one was not so great.  Not sure if it's because it was a lighter color or not enough spectraflair.  They are pretty nonetheless!

  12. Wonderful holos! It is too bad that the flakies don't show up on the nail.  That would be mind blowing.
That's a lot of polishes.  I just recently got an Alex (and bypassed a Helmer) and I love it!

  17. These are gorgeous! Would you happen to know how much they retail for?

And I get so mad that I'm always tardy for the party. I never hear about these things until after everyone else has bought everything up. *kicks rocks*

  18. Both of these are beautiful.  Dragon Spit is unique - I haven't seen a red holo before.  I'm amazed what these indie polish makers can do!

  21. Beautiful! I haven't ordered polish from anyone on Etsy yet but I have seen some beautiful things and I'm excited to expand my collection. Which, by the way, is like one tenth the size of yours! Much respect for the polish! :)

  25. Really pretty. I for one, so appreciate how you bloggers find the goodies on etsy and let us know about them. I would have no idea taking pot luck on etsy with as much as there is out there. I would not want to order and get an icky mess. I don't follow on social media - so do let us know if this one moves off of etsy to a new site.
