Hey guys! 2 years ago today The PolishAholic was born, it's crazy how time has flown by. If you asked me then if I would still be blogging I probably would have said no. I've never really been one to stick with things for long. I think what's kept me going in this crazy nail blogging world is the amazing people I have met along the way. When I started blogging I didn't realize what a great community of ladies (and gents!) were out there who loved nail polish as much as I do.

The PolishAholic has become my little safe haven, when I'm having a bad day I'm cheered up by friends I've made along the way or by the comments and emails I get from those of you that read my blog. I feel like I don't say it enough but I really appreciate every single one of you that takes time out of your day to read my blog or look at the pictures. Those of you who comment on my posts, or talk to me on Twitter or Facebook...you all make this so rewarding!
To celebrate a big blogging milestone, one that I never thought I'd reach, I have a fun layering manicure to show you and an awesome giveaway!
This manicure is the one that was on my non-fish egg nails on Fish Egg Friday! It spawned from boredom, when I get bored I like to go through my nail polish and layer things. Usually the result isn't so great but I really liked it this time. There were SO many colors going on here! I started with a base of Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Black Out then layered 2 coats of Nails Inc The Old Vic followed by CND Crimson Sparkle, CND Jade Sparke and CND Sapphire Sparkle. Pictures don't really do it justice, especially since I couldn't manage to get any clear ones :(

1. How do you follow The PolishAholic? There are a ton of ways...Google Friend Connect, Facebook, Twitter, RSS, Bloglovin, Hellocotton, Email. I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting, it seems like there are a bazillion and 1 ways to follow haha! I just need to know 1 of the ways!
2. Tell me what the number 1 polish is on your wish list. I'm nosy and I love hearing what everyone is always on the hunt for. My number 1 is Urban Decay Toxin, I'll probably never get it so I just stare at pretty pictures of it online haha!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2 yrs of this! That's a ton of work/time spend devoted to the blogisphere. Especially when you have done a difficult polish job or the blog tools were giving you fits and you only get a couple comments. But you never know how many folks have looked and read via email only and just did not take the time to write a comment. Thanks for the give-a -way contest! I am so glad you did not make it dependent on having to have a blog. I know the object of that end is to get your blog linked on the web. But so many followers don't have blogs. It really skews the results and seems like it's all between the bloggers only. I would love to have a blog, but don't have the time. I have run a not for profit self help support group for a rare bone disease with over 1500 members now and that takes all my 'volunteer time.' Also, I don't think I ever have a camera that works - I keep having bad luck no matter what price point I buy in at. Best one I had was an old 1.3 MP that no slot loaders take the cards it too anymore - let alone find that old style card to buy. Maybe someday - as I would love it I know, and I NEED to run ongoing blog sales for all the extra bottles and ones I won't ever used again. Gotta get this 1500+++ bottle stash cleaned out. I have long ago ran out of storage room.
