Hi guys! Today I have another one of the awesome Layla holo polishes to show you, yay!! This one is called Coral Gam and it's a kind of tan/pink base color with holo rainbows like whoa. I didn't think much of this in the bottle, I only bought it because I hoard holos like no ones business. On the nail this was punching me in the eyes with it's rainbows of win much like all the other awesome holos I've tried from Layla.
For this mani I used Sally Hansen Instra Dri as a base coat. I know it probably sounds weird to use a top coat as a base coat but it seems to help make holos like these easier to apply. If you don't have an aqua base from somewhere like Nfu Oh using a quick dry top coat like Insta Dri or Seche Vite is a good alternative!
Coral Glam went on really easily over this base, I was impressed! I used 2 coats for the photos below! There is a bit of a bald spot on my ring finger but the rainbows were so out of control that I didn't notice it when I wore the polish haha! I tried to cover it with my water mark in the photos but you can still see what I'm talking about if you look close. If you have one of these Layla's and you get a bald spot like that it's easy to fix with another coat of the polish...unless you are like me and don't notice it.
All photos below are in direct sunlight!
Layla Hologram Effect polishes are available a whole bunch of places, they have finally landed at Ulta stores so if you have one an Ulta near you there is no need to buy online now!! If you do want to buy online these can be found on AveYou.com and HarlowandCo.org!

I just picked this up the other day! It always stands out to me when I see it in swatches. Haven't had a chance to wear it myself yet but will surely get onto that soon! These photos have me wanting to try it sooner rather than later though :)
ReplyDeleteHow do they look indoors? My recent holo purchase looks nice in the sun but pretty dead inside (and that's where I am most of the time!)
ReplyDeleteDamn. You make me want every holo that has ever existed.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful!! :D
ReplyDeleteunfortunately that's how these are inside also, if the light is bright enough you can see a bit of the holo but it's nowhere near as fantastical as it is in the sun
ReplyDeleteI love this holo, and I think I'm going to love the other 2 holos I've got from Layla too. They have such nice rainbows when you get some sun on them!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I'm not normally big on this color but if it's in holo form, I think I must own it :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is GORGEOUS! I love the colour and the holo effect is insane.
ReplyDeleteI love to watch Layla polishes. Wish they would sell it in Rotterdam
ReplyDeleteMy ULTA store is lame and still doesn't have these :( But there is a new 'hole' on one of the displays where the Layla Magnetics were when they first came out, so I keep checking... and I keep checking for when the Spiderman line will appear as well...
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo beautiful!!
ReplyDeletePretty! I need to make a trip to Ulta soon!
ReplyDeleteA brand new Ulta opened last week near me and now I have yet another thing to look for. I think I'm going today.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I really wish it was easier to get holos in the UK :(
ReplyDeleteThese just became available on zappos today too! Free shipping makes the $15.50 price tag slightly more palatable :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea that it could be use with Insta Dri too, because I feel Seche Vite it´s quite toxic for applying on bare nails...Love holos and I wish to have some Layla soon
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun polish! This would look great on toes in the summer at the beach :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I think this is my favorite of all the Layla Holo's you've posted so far!
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing Ocean Rush right now and it's amazing! Even in this gloomy weather I am getting glimpses of the linear holo effect!
ReplyDeleteHard to find a really great lighter pink holo! This one HITS with me!
ReplyDeleteCurious if these holos leave a smooth top finish or a semi rough one? If they are rough can you get them to smooth with clear toppers like SV or Gelous then SV?
ReplyDeleteI just adore amazing holos. They're hands down my favorite kind of polish. This looks like a must!
ReplyDeleteThe Layla holos dry extremely smooth, I don't use a top coat over them since it can dull the holographic effect
ReplyDeleteThat is a million shades of gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteLoving the holos, but I'll be damned if I will pay $15 and up. And thoughts/suggestions on where to find it for less?
ReplyDeletethe only comparable polishes I can think of are from Nfu Oh but they are not as holographic as the Layla's. If you buy at Ulta you can use coupons on them...at least they would be a bit cheaper then!
ReplyDeleteThat is freakin gorgeous. Love the color
