Nicole by OPI Spring 2012 Target Exclusives!

Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend, I did! Today I have 3 of the 4 Spring 2012 Target Exclusive polishes from Nicole by OPI. I'm missing one called Look At Me Look At Me! When/If I find that one I'll post swatches of it in it's own post! The other 3 are very pretty, I hope you guys like them! I've put the majority of this post under a cut since it's picture heavy! Make sure you click the read more button for full swatches and reviews of each shade!

Great Minds Pink Alike is a light squishy pink packed with purple and blue shimmer. I was not in love with this in the bottle but I quite like it on! It's so beautiful for spring! The formula was a bit sheet but it built up nicely, I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Purple Yourself Together is a gorgeous red toned purple with a very vibrant coppery shimmer. I feel like we've seen this a lot for spring but this one is much different than Zoya's Tru and OPI's Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? It's much brighter and the shimmer is much much more noticeable. The closest thing I had to this was Sephora by OPI Hell To The No but they aren't dupes either. The formula was okay, I used 2 coats for the photos below but 3 probably would have been better. If you have a free edge on your nail you will definitely want to wrap your tips with this polish, I didn't as you can probably tell lol.

That's Totally Red-ical is a nice bright red with an extremely subtle shimmer. I actually didn't even realize there was shimmer in this until I put it on. Even out in the direct sunlight I could barely see the shimmer. You can sort of see it in my photos, if you squint. In real life it's pretty much invisible. The formula was really nice on this one, I used 2 coats for the photos below

These new Target exclusive shades will be available March 2012 for $7.04 each at select Target locations nationwide and Target.com.

  4. Purple Yourself Together, would you say the purple is brighter than Zoya Tru? I LOVED Tru in all swatches and looked at pictures of it all day long (hahah) and found it at Ulta, and although I do love it, I wanted the purple to be a little brighter. I feel like my bottle of Tru seems so much darker than any other swatch I've seen so I was a little disappointed but I love the idea of that kind of purple!

  5. I actually really like all three!  Although I must say all the shades that are exclusive to a certain store are annoying me a bit ... I like to go to one store and be able to get them all! Efficiency, people, efficiency!

  10. Jen, I find that in real life, Zoya Tru and OPI Dutch Ya just don't show the golden/copper shimmer to the eye unless under a super bright light. IS this Nicole different? If the shimmer shows even inside the house, I definitely want it....if it's like the others, I'll pass. So I have to know!!

  11. It's definitely noticeable inside...in very low light places like in the shade it's not super visible but everywhere else you can see it. It's much much more shimmery than the Zoya & the OPI!

  12. Do you think Great Minds Pink Alike is similar to butterLONDON Disco Biscuit? Hmmm...

  13. How does "Purple Yourself Together" compare to Zoya "Faye"?

  14. They aren't close at all unfortunately. the shade of pink and the shimmer is very different

  15. They are very different, Faye is a very pink toned purple with a strong golden foil like shimmer. Purple Yourself Together is a lot darker and the shimmer isn't as noticeable

  16. I wish Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? looked on the nail like Purple Yourself Together. Sad....
    Great swatches! Thanks for sharing!

  17. Great Minds Pink Alike is amazing!! I need to add it to my collection - I can NEVER have enough pinks!

  18. The thing that sucks is we always get these exclusives well after everyone else. I wish I liked pinks because these are very pretty! I love the purple. It has more of an orange/coppery shimmer to it than the purples we've seen so far this year.

I have to say, I do NOT like Look At Me Look At Me. It dries very dull even with a million coats of top coat. I love Great Minds Pink Alike, though! I hope I can snatch it up at Target.
