Hi guys, I have a quick NOTD to show you guys! I was swatching Color Club's Take Wing Collection yesterday and decided to try a water marble with them. I didn't think it would work but it did and I am in love with the result! It wasn't easy to do since these didn't spread all that well...also clean up was a nightmare, but it was worth the trouble! My favorite nail is my index nail! If you are looking for good tutorials on how to water marble I'd recommending checking out My Simple Little Pleasures on youtube here.
I used Color Club Daisy Does It as my base and marbled with Color Club Daisy Does It, Color Club Wing Fling, Color Club Sparkle and Soar and Color Club Fly With Me. I'll have swatches of the collection sometime in the next week or so, I gotta say...it's pretty awesome!
The first 2 photos below are in the shade, all the others are in the sun!

ReplyDeleteOh WOW! I literally gasped when this popped up on my bloglovin reader. Stunning! I never would have thought of using glassflecks for marbling as I'd think they're too sheer, but this looks so awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteThat is just amazing! Well done!

ReplyDeletebeautiful. i was gonna buy this collection but some other lemmings caught my eye. i for sure plan on going back to get them. you should see smashley sparkles water marble with these also.
ReplyDeleteAwesom colours! I'm still training watermarbling, my first attempt was quite horrible :D
ReplyDeleteLove this! It's so sparkly!
ReplyDeleteThese are harder to marble with because the polish is heavier and doesn't spread as easy, I'm assuming? They still make a beautiful water marble.
Holy cow, that is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo beautiful! I have to do another water marble, I miss it. :D
ReplyDeleteThis just makes me want the collection even more! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I have been following your blog for some time now, and I've learned so much that I have to say thank you! I've never really read blogs before, but I found yours when I was looking for a color swatch and now I try to check daily. I've also been too shy to post a comment before but I had to for this mani- it's amazing! I think I may even need to create a user profile after this. ;p Please forgive me if this isn't acceptable blog etiquette (having never really followed one before, I'm not sure what is proper) but I was hoping you might be able to tell me the name of a polish I've been trying to find - you are a polish guru after all! It has a clearish base with tons of red and blue glitter. It may also have white glitter in it, but I saw it over white polish so I'm not sure. Any ideas? Again, if it's not proper for a newbie to ask questions in the comments, I apologize!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I don't think I've ever seen a water marble using polishes like this. It turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI love this collection and I'm glad I got them a while ago because they are so pretty. I can only imagine the process of getting them to marble and having to clean up all that glitter lol. Amazing job though and they look great.
ReplyDeleteThat's an awesome water marble!!! It's so bright, pretty and shimmery! Can't wait to see the swatches! :)
ReplyDeleteThis really did inspire me to spend the day working on my watermarbling skills. It was worth the effort because I think I finally got the hang of it!! thnx for the inspiration!! <3<3<3
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I recently used similar colors for a gradient with zebra stripes!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I attempted something similar with the Zoya Surf polishes...and I failed miserably. I may have to try this with Take Wing. Maybe the blues and a splash of pink?
ReplyDeleteThat is very shimmery. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so pretty!!
ReplyDeletewowowow!!! super impressed love it:0
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty, the effect is great in the sun!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! it looks like a decal.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The only think that comes to mind is something like Lynnderella Boy Girl Party but I think that has other colors of glitter in it also. I'll look around and see if I can find something else that it might be! I know that Girlie Bits has something that sounds like what you described coming out soon also!
ReplyDeleteOMG this is STUNNING!!!! Love love love it!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI want you to know that after you posted this, I went out and bought the blue and orange to marble. Like literally, within an hour or two. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMarbling is one of my favorite forms of nail desing- it's actually what got me into polish in the first place! And I've noticed that glass flecks tend to marble better than some others. I love that, because having a marble with glass flecks adds that little extra oomph that really gets me :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! I've only tried water marbling a couple of times, and I don't quite have the hang of it yet. Manis like this make me want to keep trying.
ReplyDeleteHoly Toledo, that looks awesome. :D
ReplyDeletelove that combination of colours....nice work !!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteClever, using only glittery colors. Gonna try :)
ReplyDeleteI went out last weekend and bought this entire collection at once just because of this post...
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Hope you love the polishes!
