Saturday Swatch Spam!

Hi guys! Today I have a post of random swatches. This is stuff that I wore under polishes I've shown lately and stuff I just don't have time to post on it's own. I've had all of these sitting in my drafted posts so I thought this would be a good way to get through my backlog! Let me know if you guys like this kind of post and I might do them more often! The bulk of the post is under a cut since it's picture heavy!

Most of these will be short on description, sorry about that!

American Apparel Malibu Green. Great formula on this, I only needed 1 coat. However, this stained like a mofo :(

American Apparel Mount Royal. Really nice formula on this one also, I used 2 coats for the photo below.

Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much is a mix of blue, green and purple glitter of various sizes in a clear base. I meant to post this with the Dollish Polishes I posted the other day..but I forgot haha! I used 1 coat over Dollish Polish Looking For My Mr. Big.

LA Girls Sparkling Peach is a duochrome flecked shimmer that flashes a purplish pink and goldish orange. I have been obsessed with this polish since I saw it last year at Cosmoprof. I was surprised when I saw it in a display at Rite Aid about a week ago. It's AWESOME, better in person than in the photos. If you like top coats like this it's a must have! I used 1 coat over black for the photos below, both photos are in the shade.

Nerd Lacquer The Quantum Bluniverse is a shimmer dark blue base packed with gold and blue glitter. I love this polish, it's got big square glitter...my favorite!! This is opaque enough to wear on it's own but I decided to layer 1 coat over OPI Into The Night for the photos below.

Revlon Lemon Meringue is a light pastel yellow. This is also scented, not sure what it is meant to smell like but it just smells all crazy sugary to me. I think this is new, I got it at Bed, Bath & Beyond from a display that was full of scented summery looking polishes. I love the color, but man the scent is NASTY. It's way too sugary for it's own good and it gives me a headache. Not even a coat of Gelous followed by a coat of Sally Hansen Insta Dri killed the scent. The formula was also not great, it wasn't too sheer but it was streaky and patchy. I needed 4 coats for the photo below.

Sonia Kashuk Fairy Princess is a minty green with a gorgeous blue shimmer. I believe this is new for Spring 2012. I love it, it's the mint version of one of my favorite polishes...Zoya Gemma! The formula was nice, I use 2 coats. Happy to report the shimmer wasn't supper hidden either, I could see it in the crappy lighting at work when I wore it!

This next polish is a franken I made, I ended up sending it to my love Kirsten from Glitta Gloves. I made it with Nubar Black Polka Dots & Nubar White Polka Dots along with some glitter I got back in January at the ISSE show in Long Beach. I used 1 coat over the Balm Hella Yella for the photo below.

Wet & Wild I Got A New Com-pweter is a yellow toned green foil. This is part of the new Chrome collection Wet & Wild just put out, I found it at Rite Aid if you'e looking for it. The formula was nice, I bet this would be good for stamping if you're into that. I used 2 coats for the photos below.

Zoya Carmen is a bright classic red creme. The formula is nice, I used 2 coat for the photos below.

  10. LOL, even though I read this post at 4am, I wanted all morning to get on my laptop so I could comment on here! I love this random polish spam post, and I'm excited to see more random polishes from you :)

Spank You Very Much looks amazing! These are the types of colors I love to use in my makeup, and to see them in a glitter polish is so cool! The WnW Chrome is intense. I heard about these recently and assumed they'd be "eh", but dam! I really want I Got A New Com-puter now! Oh, and I adore that Carmen polish - it's so hard for me to say no to reds!
