Color Club Summer 2012 Take Wing Collection Swatches!

TGIF! Anyone have any fun plans this weekend? Tomorrow I'm going up to LA for the day/night and then on Sunday...recovering haha! Today I have an awesome summer collection show you guys from Color Club! I did a water marble with these a couple weeks ago which you can see here in case you missed it!

Color Club's Take Wing Collection for Summer brings us 6 beautiful glass flecked polishes. Polishes like these are a favorite of mine, they are so vibrant and sparkly! Perfect for summer, I think! I've been a little bit disappointed with what Color Club has put out the past few collections and ones like this remind me again why I love them!

To see swatches and reviews for each shade click the read more button below!

Daisy Does It is a bright golden yellow glass fleck. This is not my favorite on my skin tone but that won't stop me from wearing it because I love it anyway! The formula was really nice on this one, I only needed 2 coats for full opacity!

Shade

Fly With Me- is an awesome lime green! Ahh love, I'm a big fan of all things green and I love this yellow toned lime! The formula on this one was a little bit sheer but very nice, I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Metamorphosis is a bright green leaning teal! In the bottle this was my favorite, it left me wanting more. The formula was my least favorite out of the bunch, it was more sheer than I was expecting it to be. I used 3 coats for the photos below. In person I could still see a little bit of visible nail line.

Shade

Sky High is a bright blue! This is another that I was wowing over in the bottle but ended up not loving on the nail. The formula was a lot like Metamorphosis, I used 3 coats for the photos below. I'm thinking I need to try layering this or something, maybe it's just not doing anything for me on it's own but I'll love it that way.

Shade

Sparkle and Soar is a beautiful golden orange! I love love love this one, for some reason I always grab for orange polishes like this during the summer. Usually I gravitate towards a couple of Zoya polishes but this might take their place! The formula was nice, a little sheer though. I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Shade

Wing Fling is a bright pink! I feel like I probably have some polishes like this but I do like it! The formula was very nice! I used 2 coats for the photos below!

Shade
Overall, I love this collection! I could do without Sky High and Metamorphosis but the other 4 are awesome!

The Take Wing Collection is available now! If you have a Rite Aid near you I've seen this out at all the stores near me. If you don't have a Rite Aid near you Color Club is available on several etailers including Transdesign, Victorias Nail Supply and Head2ToeBeauty!

    1. I saw these at one of my local rite aids

    2. Almost all the Rite-Aids turned into CVS in No. Cal, but most of the smaller beauty supply stores have them, i.e; Beauty Center.

  3. I got a little more "pop" out of Sky High and Metamorphosis with CND sparkle effects. Raspberry and Crimson Sparkle may help.

  5. oooh - those are fab. I love the yellow one the best I think. Anything sparkly is good in my book!

  6. Sparkle and Soar looks a lot like Riveting from the China Glaze Hunger Collection. Are they close enough for a comparison?

  7. I picked up Fly with Me a few weeks ago and just love it.  The orange was calling to me too... I might have to go back and grab it!

  8. I wonder how the orange polish compares to Riveting from China Glaze... I want one of the two, don't know which to pick

  9. Ooh, these are lovely! The pink looks like a dead ringer for BL Disco Biscuit, except without the blue micro glitter.

  11. Did you get any staining with wing fling? I swear my nails were a deeper shade of pink when I removed it.

I'm not sure about that, I'll have to find my bottle of Riveting and see if they are close! I think the China Glaze leans a lot more red but I'll check to make sure!

Nope, no staining for me. I haven't worn that one yet as a full mani though. Hopefully it doesn't stain when I finally do wear it for more than a half hour

  16. those polishes are all so much fun, they're so bright! It's exactly what I love for summer :)

  17. Very pretty and summery! The real reminds me of Zoya Charla (and the dupes), and the pink reminds me of butter London Disco Biscuit. But I could be wrong.

  18. I bought at Claire's one color from a collection made by color club that it exactly the same as take wings! All the shades! I asked color club on twitter and they confirmed that they are dupes... Anyway, I picked the Teal but I hadn 't tried it yet, I hope formula will be better, but I don't think it will since it's the same polish in a different bottle! Lol
Well for those of you who have easier acces to Claire's than color club, each polish is $6.50 but they are BOGO 50% off :-)

  20. Metamorphosis is my fav of this group! I love this!

  21. I'm crushing so hard on the lemon, lime & orange! They're so rich in the shade too, and I can't help wondering what they'd do under a matte topcoat. I see an experiment in my future! ;)

  23. I LOVE these colors...I got the whole collection in a box set at Burlington Coat Factory for like $7.99. I usually pair up the colors. They all pair up beautifully, especially the yellow and pink. I've got some pictures posted on my FB page that show the pairings. Really pretty

  24. Does anyone know how Zoya Sienna compares to Sparkle and Soar?
